Ahead of his appearance at UFC 269, Daniel Cormier’s commentary skills have been questioned. His fellow commentator, Dominick Cruz, said that ‘DC’ does not do his homework well.

Cormier, of course, confronted Cruz about his public statement. In a recent video on Cormier’s channel, both the athletes were seen engaging in some friendly banter. While Cormier questioned Cruz’s public statement, the latter tried to justify what he said. Nevertheless, both share a great bond and seem unbothered by the whole fiasco. It looks like Cormier did not take offense after all.

Former UFC fighter, Henry Cejudo, however, came to Cormier’s defense and had a few words of his own to say. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Shut your damn mouth Dominick Snooze. You must’ve not done your homework when I slept you. Did you forget about my Olympic gold medal then? Even Keith Peterson can’t save you from your boring a** commentary. There’s a reason you’re on the prelims!”

Cruz has made a few mistakes as well. During the DC check-in conversation, he mentioned that Cormier was an Olympic gold medalist. Thus, Cejudo didn’t hesitate in pointing out Cruz’s mistake.

As both have fought in the octagon before, there surely is some bad blood between the two. This explains the former bantamweight champion’s harsh words towards Cruz. Notably, both have said unpleasant things about each other in the past as well. And now, with Cruz criticizing Cormier’s work, Cejudo took the opportunity to point out Cruz’s shortcomings.
