UFC 305 is just around the corner, and the rivalry between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis is at an all-time high right now. To promote the fight, Adesanya has reignited the racial rivalry between the fighters. In one of his escapades, ‘Stylebender’ called out Du Plessis calling himself the first real African UFC champion, saying, “Dricus is a b** for what he’s saying… People like Razak and myself who were forced to flee our own country because of a better opportunity,” said Adesanya.

In an͏ interaction wi͏t͏h T͏M͏Z Spo͏rts, ‘Stylebender’ claimed that, unlik͏e the Du ͏Ples͏sis fa͏mily, wh͏o were well-estab͏lished and well-to-do, his own fa͏mily had a rough past͏, ͏having to flee their c͏ountry in͏ se͏a͏rch of better opportunities. Well, the former middleweight champ brought Du Plessis’s family into the feud and this appears to have irked Khamzat Chimaev‘s teammate.

This statement has irked Israel Adesanya like none other and in a conversation with TMZ, ‘Stylebender’ finally lashed out at the middleweight champion. “[Du Plessis] will never understand that because he lives behind the f**** gates of his privileged life in South Africa,” said Adesanya.

He further added, “Without Francis [Ngannou] being champion, without myself being champion, without Kamaru [Usman] being champion, he would have never been champion. We paved the way for him and then he comes out there and tries to take it all for himself.” The former champion must have thought that his statements might work in his favor but the opposite happened. In addition to others from the MMA community, Khamzat Chimaev’s teammate Darren Till has come forward to call out the former champ.

“I think Izzy is talking way 2 much about like personal lives…Use are both gonna fight in the octagon and it’s not gonna really matter all of this the best man is gonna win…Basically. Shut the f**k up Izzy,” wrote Till on his X post.

“Well I think, if I’m in his head, maybe not, but I do know he’s in his own head, that’s for sure. It seems like if it was my goal to get into his head, it worked out pretty well because of the fact that they’re saying that. But it wasn’t at all what I was doing but now I know what they think of it… I don’t care if it’s got taken out of context… I’m happy I got a double whammy on that,” confessed Du Plessis in a conversation with the media.

Du Plessis succeeded in getting into the head of Israel Adesanya as the fighter had been talking about his opponent day and night. What’s your take on their clash? Who do you think would clinch the victory? State your thoughts in the comments below.
