Late Monday sent the Hollywood world into a state of shock with the saddening news of Kirstie Alley, the Emmy-winning actress. Notably, she is best known for her roles in the TV sitcom Cheers and further gained recognition with the Look Who’s Talking movies, starring alongside John Travolta. Similarly, the MMA world also felt disheartened as MMA fighter-turned-Hollywood star Gina Carano and former UFC fighter Pearl Gonzalez reacted to the tormenting news.

Her family revealed that the 71-year-old Hollywood star lost the battle to cancer, which was recently discovered.

John Travolta, who starred in cult-classic movies like Grease and Pulp Fiction, to name a few, expressed that he shared one of the most special relationships with the American actress.

Thus, he wrote, “Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again.”

William Shatner, who appeared with Alley in Star Trek II, took to Twitter to express his grief. Thus, he stated, “Saddened to hear of the passing of @kirstiealley. Condolences to her family & friends.”

Robert Patrick noted, “So very sad. Kirstie Alley R.I.P. My condolences to her family.”

Grammy-winning singer, Travis Tritt, expressed, “Shocked and saddened by the news of Kirstie Alley.”

Notably, Alley finished the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother as a runner-up in 2018. And one of her last TV appearances came on The Masked Singer.
