At 78, many people just want to relax and live life with minimal worries, but that’s not the case for POTUS Donald Trump. Fighting his way back to the White House, Trump has undoubtedly revived his political career. However, that’s not the only thing that makes him special. Even at his age, Trump can play tennis, showcasing his tremendous spatial awareness. Joe Rogan was visually baffled by the fact that Trump not only could play tennis but also keep up a bit with Serena Williams.
While having a conversation with stand-up comedian and host of Bottom of the Barrel, Brian Simpson, the multi-million-dollar podcaster asked his guest if he had ever witnessed Trump play tennis against Serena Williams. The stand-up comedian gave Rogan the side-eye, surprised that Trump would have any interest in sports. “Did you see him play tennis with Serena Williams? He took his shoes off; he was playing tennis with Serena Williams. Not like playing as good as she can play—she’s not gonna embarrass him. He plays tennis, man. He can play tennis. Like, the guy plays tennis.”
What’s interesting is that Donald Trump played tennis with Serena Williams back in 2015. However, the video recently resurfaced on the internet, and Joe Rogan mistakenly believed it was taken more recently. Rogan was awestruck by Trump’s fitness when Jamie Vernon came forward to ascertain that the video was approximately a decade old, “He doesn’t look like me. If I was doing it, I would be a f——- spaz. I don’t know how to play tennis. God damn it, I was lied to by the reels! I thought it just happened,” said Rogan.

Watching the clip of Trump and Williams playing, Joe Rogan highlighted that some people aren’t just cut out for working out in the gym and instead, choose golf, tennis, and even basketball as their means of staying active. For them, fitness isn’t in the weights; it’s in the game. In the end, Rogan was just astonished by Trump’s fitness, “Yeah, so he’s active.” Once a Trump critic, Joe Rogan endorsed him in the last elections but has it backfired on him?

This shake-up comes just a month into Trump’s second term, adding fuel to the political fire. Rogan, who openly supported Trump and even hosted him during the 2024 campaign, has seen a significant drop in his numbers. His podcast racked up 48.6 million downloads and plays, marking a 32% decline from the previous month. Meanwhile, MeidasTouch skyrocketed with 56 million downloads, a staggering 101% surge in reach.
MeidasTouch celebrated on X: “The MeidasTouch Podcast is officially the #1 podcast in the U.S. per the newly released Podscribe industry rankings, with 57.7 MILLION downloads and views per month.” Has Joe Rogan finally found his match or is it just a temporary sudden spurt of viewership for MeidasTouch?
