The anticipation surrounding the upcoming UFC 300 event in 2024 is huge. The fight fans are expecting some electrifying match-ups at the event. Many speculate that UFC 300 will pave the way for the much-awaited return of Ronda Rousey to the UFC. After leaving the UFC, Rousey has been a prominent figure in the WWE in recent years. Also, she had not explicitly ruled out a return to MMA. However, UFC president Dana White has poured cold water on such rumors.

According to White, fans shouldn’t hold their breath for a comeback from ‘Rowdy’. Her return, despite the excitement it holds, doesn’t seem to be on the cards for the promotion. While her presence would capture a lot of eyeballs, the UFC seems to be looking elsewhere. Recently, Dana White not only cleared the air regarding Rousey’s return but also stated some relevant reasons that prevent her from returning to the world’s biggest MMA promotion, where she once reigned as the women’s bantamweight champion. Let’s delve further into what White has to say.

Following Tuesday’s episode of the Contender Series in Las Vegas, Dana White sat with the media. During that time, the UFC boss was asked if it was true that Ronda Rousey would make her return to UFC 300. As a reply to the question, White said, “Ronda is having kids. Ronda, you know, Ronda built this whole thing that’s going on with the women here. Then her dream was to go to the WWE. She went there and did everything she did there and achieved. She’s made sh*t loads of money. She’s moving on with her life.

The 36-year-old fought in the UFC’s first female fight at UFC 157, and she was the first women’s bantamweight champion. She defended her UFC title six times; however, Valentina Shevchenko broke her record in 2022. According to White, ‘Rowdy’ has achieved so much success in her professional life as she has been an enormous star both in the UFC and the WWE. Presently, the chances are way too low for her to return to the UFC.
