The million-dollar podcaster, Joe Rogan, does not leave a chance to talk about the topics that matter to him, and this involves the political situation in the US. The presidential debates are a hallmark of the election in the US and give the voters an unscripted and candid glimpse into the personalities of the potential candidates. They are almost like the face-off between two fighters at UFC before their bout inside the octagon. Now adding flame to the already hot political scenario, Joe Rogan commented on how Donald Trump and Kamala Harris performed in the debate.

To give you a little context, the vice president, Harris, and former president Trump met for their first debate of the 2024 election on Tuesday night, which was hosted by ABC News. The debate which happened in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center, revealed how they can use the power of words to influence the voters. During JRE episode 2202, Rogan was speaking with fellow comedian Tom Segura and the former spoke on similar lines pointing out the clear difference in debate was not about who had better policies. But it was about who was going to be a better candidate for the country.

According to the color commentator, the difference was largely on who was better equipped for the questions that would be thrown at them. He said, “She [Kamala Harris] was way better prepared.  And even when it came to answering tough questions, instead of answering she would just say things that she believes. And they sounded real good.”

After hearing the debate, the former comedian realized that Harris had an amazing team working with her, and for Donald Trump, that might not have been the case. He stated, “I  know like he’s not working with a team. That’s like, I mean I know he’s doing like mock debates. I know he did one with Tulsy Gabbard. But someone needs to tell him. You have got these tiny little windows. You have all the words ready for those windows. There should be no repeating things.”

The interesting thing is, for a person who had a completely different opinion of Kamala Harris, he seemed to be impressed by her, especially in terms of improvement.

In a JRE  episode featuring actor, Adam Ray, Rogan said Harris had a ‘banger of a speech’  in Atlanta during a campaign event in July.  The vice president raided her first campaign for this year’s election with thousands of people in Atlanta. During her speech, she decided to toss a jab at former president Trump over reports he was backing out of his agreement to participate in the September 10 presidential debate.

She declared, “Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider meeting me on the debate stage. Because as the saying goes if you got something to say, say it to my face.” A clip of this quickly went viral. This video was noticed by the UFC color commentator and he praised Harris for her strong speech, while also insinuating his concern for Trump.

Rogan complimented her and said, “You can’t say that’s not outstanding … She had the big moment and she crushed it. She did it without any mums or stammers, no f****** missed words, she had a smile, the laugh made sense — it made sense there for the first time!” Nevertheless, he did point out that there was a stark difference in the way she spoke before and how she was speaking now. This also made him assume that she must have had a coach training her behind the scenes.
