UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman recalled an incident where he got tricked by an attractive con woman.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ had a simple life during his early days. However, he has made himself a fortune through his excellence in combat sports. Usman currently stands atop the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.
While his climb to the top, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ made millions from his fights. However, he lost a sum of his money because of a scam that happened while he attempted to invest for the first time.

In a recent video released by GQ Sports, Usman revealed how he spent his first million-dollar earning. And during the video, the UFC champion revealed how he lost $60k after being scammed by a lady.
He said, “Everything I always heard. Yeah, you’ve got to put money in the market. You’ve got to invest in this; invest, invest. I’m like, Alright. I didn’t really know what I was doing. So, a friend introduced me to some lady who invests for you. So, she approaches me.”
“We have a conversation. We talk. She was attractive. Of course, nothing happened on that front. But she was attractive. So, it was very easy to be distracted.”

“Give her about almost $60,000, haven’t seen that money since. Yeah, I don’t think I did my due diligence as far as the homework and the research behind this person. Gave her about 60 bands, and just flew away.”
‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is fresh from his recent win against Colby Covington at UFC 268. This was his fifth title defense in the promotion.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ and Leon Edwards have previously crossed paths in 2015. Usman defeated him via a unanimous decision. Interestingly, ‘Rocky’ has not lost a fight ever since.

‘Rocky’ currently stands at the number three position on the welterweight roster and is on a nine-fight undefeated streak. He will soon get his first-ever title shot against the Nigerian, as per the UFC president Dana White.
