From a mere street interview to becoming one of the most viral personalities on social media, the rise of the ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl, Hailey Welch, has been quite unprecedented. However, her fame landed her in a controversial spot after the recent ‘pump-and-dump’ crypto disaster, which has caught Joe Rogan‘s attention as he shared his two cents on this issue.

Joe Rogan cannot comprehend how people have been going a bit over the top with their investments in so-called meme coins. He was quite surprised to see people investing millions of dollars into Hailey Welch’s ‘$HAWK’, only for it to falter to an absolute low. Moreover, Rogan also believes that the crypto space needs some regulation as well.

“One guy invested a million dollars. Imagine like, ‘The Hawk Tuah girl? Yeah, that’s a sound investment [chuckles]’.” Joe Rogan stated on the #2249 episode of his JRE podcast“What are the rules? What are the rules in terms of like, are you allowed to do that because that’s unethical but legal? Like, are allowed to have a meme coin?”

The 57-year-old would then proceed to narrate the whole incident involving the ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl, believing that she might have made some wrong friends along the way, but Joe Rogan wasn’t too sure about it. “It was probably some people she got invested in, and she probably doesn’t understand all that stuff. She’s only 22 or something,” the JRE host continued. “It’s probably the partners that went with her. They pumped and dumped on her and then she was left holding the bill because nobody knows who they are. I’m just guessing. I don’t know.”

While talking about the total amount the investors lost, Joe Rogan further stated, “Isn’t it weird that there’s only 12 people and they’ve lost $151,000 in total?… How many stone-cold r*tards are roaming the world?” But has Hailey Welch done anything to criminally implicate herself? Well, the 57-year-old and his guests opined on that as well, while Rogan provided a unique solution Welch’s problems.

Joe Rogan has an idea for the ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl

What’s your perspective on:

Did Hailey Welch really mastermind the $HAWK disaster, or is she just a pawn in the game?

Have an interesting take?

As Joe Rogan wondered about the possible criminal charges Hailey Welch could face, one of his guests and fellow comedian Yannis Pappas claimed, “There is an SEC regulation against that.” If we take a look at what the US Securities and Exchange Commission says about pump-and-dump schemes, it just screams illegal. “In a pump and dump scheme, fraudsters typically spread false or misleading information to create a buying frenzy that will ‘pump’ up the price of a stock and then ‘dump’ shares of the stock by selling their own shares at the inflated price,” the Commission has stated on their website.

To solve Hailey Welch’s problem, Joe Rogan suggested that his guests, Yannis Pappas, and Chris Distefano, buy a new coin named History Hyenas. Thereafter, they could sell them by taking the ‘$HAWK’ in exchange from their buyers, which could revive Welch’s coin in the crypto market. “This is how you do it. This is a win-win for everybody. You are going to have a History Hyenas coin, but the only way to purchase it is with the Hawk Tuah coin,” Rogan further stated, “That way everybody’s a winner. And all of a sudden, the coin makes a comeback, both of you grow. The rising tide lifts all boats.”

Meanwhile, Joe Rogan doesn’t seem to be a fan of cryptocurrencies because he claims to have turned down many opportunities to promote them in the past. Also, he never entertains people with such propositions. “I’ve had offers to promote things like that. I’m not interested… I don’t even understand it… You’re selling what? You’re selling NFTs?… We’re done,” Rogan added.

There is currently no word on Hailey Welch, who’s currently lying low due to the controversy. While we wait to see what legal consequences she could face, let us know your thoughts on Joe Rogan’s comments about the $151,000 scam in the comments down below.
