Training with younger fighting enthusiasts necessitates a special kind of patience and composure. Their endurance is a lot lower than that of an adult. This has to be kept in mind while working with children. Although they have a boatload of energy, they drain down pretty easily. Keeping them motivated is a challenge in itself.

Almost all the time, children are the ones testing the temper of their trainers. One such incident surfaced as Jorge Masvidal shared a video of a training, where a kid was swept off of her feet.

Jorge Masvidal shares video of a girl being swept by a kick

Jorge ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal shared a video on his Facebook page, where a little girl was swept off her feet with a kick. In the original video shared by Carlos Simmons, the fighter is seemingly training with a young girl. The girl taunts him, “Do it you little sissy!”. She held the pad on her left. He confirmed if the girl was sure about it. After making sure that she was ready he swooped her after saying, “Here we go”.

Jorge Masvidal shared the original post and the caption said, “She asked for it…” The guy wasn’t probably giving his hundred percent. Even then, the girl landed flat on the mat. She definitely regretted it, later on.

The video brought in many comments. Most of them were jokes about the scene, while others were showing concern for the girl. Additionally, many comments directed anger towards the fighter for treating a kid like that.

It does seem like the man went too far with the kick. However, these things are common on the training grounds. The kids need to be taught what the actual hits feel like. Only after that can they know how to defend themselves better. It also makes them cautious while taunting seasoned fighters.
