UFC 296 is just a week away, and the fans are excited to see their favorite fighters in action. Some of the best fighters in different divisions will face off against each other. However, one fight that has gathered a lot of attention in its build-up is between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington.

Experts have started making predictions as the Welterweight title is on the line. In a recent YouTube video, Shavkat Rakhmonov also gives us his prediction regarding who will win the fight. Let us find out what the Kazak fighter says about the fight. 

Shavkat Rakhmonov feels ‘Rocky’ has the upper hand in the fight

Rakhmonov is all set to take on Stephen Thompson in his match at UFC 296. The Kazak fighter is still unbeaten in the division and has an impressive record of 17-0. He goes into the fight as the fifth-ranked Welterweight. Thompson is coming off an impressive win in his last fight and will look to hand Rakhmonov the first-ever defeat of his career.

While speaking to Morning Kombat, the Kazak looked very relaxed before his fight. However, as the interviewer in the YouTube video asked him his favorite between Edwards and Covington, he said, ” I don’t know they both good fighters, but I think the advantage has… champion. He’s a champion he’s not for no reason and we see who will be his next opponent.’

 

Edwards is currently the Welterweight Champion and one of the complete fighters on the roster. He came into the limelight after he defeated Kamaru Usman not once, but twice. While many believe that “Chaos” is not a worthy opponent for “Rocky,” he still has to defend his title against him. Will Leon Edwards be able to defend his title at UFC 296?

His exceptional conditioning and grappling will make him a formidable opponent against Edwards.

He has added new dimensions to his fighting style, which will help him fight against Edwards. The current champion is also ready for the challenge and will look to take on “Chaos”.
