Alex Pereira’s dominance in the Octagon is no accident. Behind his rise to the top lies a relentless training regimen, and it’s not just his opponents who have to be wary of his power. His sparring partners often face a unique set of challenges when stepping into the ring with the Brazilian knockout artist. Known for his explosive striking and precision, Pereira’s sparring sessions are grueling, testing the limits of those who train alongside him. One of the main issues his sparring partners face is simply the sheer power of Pereira’s strikes.

His kickboxing background has given him the ability to generate incredible force with every punch and kick, making even light sparring sessions feel like a battle. It’s not uncommon for sparring partners to leave the gym with bruises, sore bodies, and the lingering memory of just how hard Pereira hits. While sparring is meant to be controlled and technical, Pereira’s natural intensity often pushes his partners to their physical limits, leaving little room for mistakes. However, this was not the case when the champion had a friendly sparring session with Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Bear Degidio.

‘Poatan’ was invited to the JAXXON House and the champion managed to get a light training session at the place. However, there was nothing intense in the whole incident and both Jackson and Degidio enjoyed the session. Black Belt MMA took to their Instagram page to share a clip where Degidio shared his experience of sparring with the Brazilian.

During the video, he said, “Dude, he hit me so hard that he shattered my left rib. And it went through my stomach. Almost punctured a lung. And then the doctor said I could have been inches away from not being able to breathe. I had to dig deep. I am not going to just fall to the floor cuz you know Alex hit me. I mean you know what it’s like.”

At the end of the video, Khalil Rountree Jr. made a special appearance and agreed with what Degidio had to say. ‘Poatan’ is all set to face one of the toughest challenges of his career as he prepares to defend his title against Magomed Ankalaev. The Russian fighter has been waiting for a long time to get this fight with the champion and seems ready to dethrone Pereira. Is Alex Pereira geared up for the challenge? It seems he is.
