These people are the coaches of the GOR MMA as well, so the fact that they have an active part in Magomedov’s journey is palpable. ‘Shara Bullet’ is on a 15-fight winning streak, but will he be able to conquer the challenges ahead of him? Only time will tell, but did you know that he also expressed wanting to train with the biggest name in Dagestan MMA? Let’s take a look at that front.
Sharapudtin Magomedov wants to train in Khabib’s gym
Following his emphatic win over Antonio Troccoli at UFC’s first event in Saudi Arabia last year, Sharaputdin Magomedov expressed his interest in moving up in competition. For that, he wanted to train under the tutelage of American Kickboxing Academy coach, Javier Mendez. Magomedov mentioned how much respect he had for the San Jose-based coach and his body of work in his post-fight interview.

“To be honest, Javier is a very decent and honorable man. A great person to be around. He is such a down-to-earth man. Not arrogant at all, he is great. Hopefully, someday I will have the privilege to train with him. He’s still there in Dubai. I follow him on Social Media,” Sharaputdin Magomedov said. It’s safe to say that training under Javier Mendez will unlock the doors for ‘Shara Bullet’ to train with Khabib Nurmagomedov and his team as well. Magomedov has always kept ‘The Eagle’ in high regard, so it won’t be a surprise if he ends up joining Team Khabib in the future.
Well, by the looks of his performances inside the Octagon, it seems like Sharaputdin Magomedov’s current team is working pretty well for him to ace his opponents. But can he extend his unbeaten record this weekend at UFC Fight Night 250? Drop your comments below.
