While the Russian does possess some outstanding fighting skills, he is more famous because of his nickname. The 30-year-old has a menacing personality and is a threat to many inside the Octagon. Before his next big clash, we take a look at his different nicknames.

30-year-old Magomedov is one of those rare fighters who is fighting his battle outside the Octagon. The Russian fighter has had his right eye removed and replaced with a fake one after losing eyesight in it. However, he is unfazed by the disadvantage and confident of making a name for himself in the biggest fighting promotion in the world. He also has a funny side to him and this is how he gave himself the nickname of ‘Pirate’. Before his UFC debut the Russian fighter termed himself as a ‘Pirate’ based on him having one eye. During his promo shoot the 30-year-old featured in a video and said, “The pirate is here. See you in the octagon. I came for my gold, brother, October 21, Insha’Allah.”

Magomedov’s moniker is ‘Sharabullet’ and most of the fans feel it suits his style. However, it now seems that he wants to be known more as a ‘pirate’ and is ready to conquer the Octagon. The 30-year-old is all set to take on Antonio Trocoli after his previous opponent pulled out of the clash. Magomedov impressed one and all with his UFC debut and has gathered a lot of attention lately. However, it seems that the Russian has a new opponent in his mind in the middleweight division and it’s none other than Conor McGregor.

‘Bullet’ shows his willingness to fight Conor McGregor in the middleweight division

Conor McGregor is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the UFC and it seems every fighter wants a piece of him. While he already has a lot of rivals, it seems he has found himself a new one in Magomedov. The 30-year-old Russian is fairly new in the UFC but has hopes of facing the Dubliner one day. The one-eyed pirate before his second UFC fight was asked about his take on facing ‘Mystic Mac’ in the middleweight division. McGregor in the past had shown his willingness to fight in the middleweight division with a tweet on X, “No mess, I’d fancy it,”. It seems Magomedov had taken note of the tweet and now has a message for the Dubliner.

The Russian said, “Conor tweeted something about fighting at middleweight. I’m ready to welcome him because his weight class is full of dudes like me, so I’m ready to welcome him,”. He then pointed out as to how his first battle with ‘Mystic Mac’ would fall out and even challenged the former dual-champion. Magomedov said, “Our first fight would be interesting for the viewers worldwide. He likes striking and hates Dagestani wrestling, so let’s go! I’m here; I can welcome him in the cage and show him what Dagestanis are capable of.” With only one fight in his UFC career, the Russian wants to take on one of the legends of the sport. However, most of his fans would want him to win his next fight.
