Sharaputdin Magomedov, the one-eyed phenom who has taken the world of mixed martial arts to great states of entropy, is about to step back into the Octagon against Joilton Santos Lutterbach. The fighters will end the preliminary card at UFC Saudi Arabia and pave the way for the main card. 

Sharaputdin Magomedov’s record has greatly impressed the fighting community. With 12 victories and absolutely no losses, despite the problem with his eye, it is something that only a few can achieve. On the other hand, Santos has a bit more experience with 38 wins, even though the Brazilian has faced 9 losses inside the MMA cage. But the fight doesn’t commence inside the Octagon. In a recent conversation with ‘Red Corner MMA’, Sharaputdin Magomedov revealed that it was indeed the former UFC lightweight champion who paved the way for him to the UFC. Rising from the same land, the Dagestani showed immense respect for Nurmagomedov. After all, ‘The Eagle’ was the one who inspired his fellow Dagestani fighters to compete in America. He said, “Nobody thought it would reach such a high level of professionalism and the fighter’s pay would be that good. That it would become a show business nobody could foresee that back then. Khabib was paving the way in the dark on his own as if he had a lamp in his hand. And we were just watching him trailblaze that path in America.”

Even though ‘The Bullet’ has massive respect for Nurmagomedov, he admitted to being scared of him. He claimed that there was a time when he wanted to wrestle with ‘The Eagle’. But now, he has realized how strong the former UFC champ actually is. ‘The Bullet’ confessed, “But now I understand that he is really… a bear, and he can just break me.”
