Charles Oliveira registered a tremendous win against Beneil Dariush after returning to the octagon after almost seven months. He defeated the 4th-ranked contender via technical knockout to get into championship contention. However, his former rival Islam Makhachev sent him a message on Twitter following his win, to which ‘Do Bronx’ shared his response.

The Brazilian ace was on an incredible run before fighting Makhachev at UFC 280. He was on an 11-fight winning streak and also captured the lightweight title in the process. However, he couldn’t overcome the Dagestani native. Makhachev submitted ‘Do Bronx’ to capture the lightweight title for the first time in his career.

However, Makhachev reminded Oliveira that he was on another level as a fighter than the Brazilian ace. He wrote, “Congrats Charles. But still there’s levels in this game.” Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s protege believes Charles Oliveira hasn’t yet reached the level he’s at right now.

Meanwhile, ‘Do Bronx’ didn’t let Makhachev’s comments slide. He replied to him while maintaining a respectful tone. Oliveira said, “Thank you. Levels are part of the game. See you soon.” While thanking Makhachev for congratulating him, The Brazilian claimed that fighters always reach new levels as they progress and that it is a part of the sport. Moreover, he told the lightweight champion that they will be seeing each other pretty soon.
