One of the most out-of-the-box friendships within the MMA realm, you ask? It’s the friendship between the popular MMA personality Nina Drama and former middleweight champion Sean Strickland. Their alliance comes across as quite fun as they poke each other until the other person laughs. So, are they dating? Of course not, as Nina Drama is already in a relationship with someone. Regardless, recently ‘Tarzan’ invoked a traumatic experience that the MMA influencer had to go through when interviewing Tom Aspinall last year. Her reaction? Well, she laughed it off.
The former middleweight champion is preparing to take on Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 312 to stake a claim on the middleweight title but before that, he is training hard to defeat the South African sensation and Nina Drama appeared to be in her training camp as well. Uploading a photo with the popular MMA influencer on his Instagram handle, Strickland captioned it as, “What would it take” I got you @tomaspinallofficial #shocker.”
What was Nina Drama’s reaction to such an antic? Well, she laughed it off. The MMA influencer took to her Instagram post to comment on a single thing, ” I’m an INNOCENT woman! This caption is wild Sean WTF.” Now, some of you might be wondering why Drama was so flustered about the photo and caption. When Nina and Tom Aspinall had a conversation, things took a weird turn when the UFC interim heavyweight champ ended up asking Danielle a question that many may have perceived as uncomfortable.

Amidst the interview about Aspinall’s fighting career, the interim heavyweight champion countered the influencer with a strange question. He asked the interviewer whether she had been “f*ngered” by an MMA fighter before. When Nina Drama said “No” then Aspinall stated, “What it would take?”

The Britisher faced some backlash for the question. He cleared the air surrounding the interaction when he had a conversation with the media. “Well that’s all we spoke about off-camera. Is she gets all these kinds of mad questions and then she asked me do I wanna ask her anything. . . she asked me twenty minutes into it, am I participating in No Nut November? It’s not what we were talking about.”

Nina Drama was initially hesitant to take personal questions, but things have changed. Sean Strickland’s comments on Nina Drama reflect the dynamic of their playful friendship. It must be noted that both of them have heaped praise at each other behind their back.
Sean Strickland and Nina Marie Danielle got that true friendship relationship
Last year, when the MMA community was a bit judgemental about Nina Drama’s sudden rise, Sean Strickland came forward to defend her. The former middleweight champion emphasized that the reason why his friend is more successful in her career is because her way of storytelling is completely unique, unlike the traditional media. Strickland took to his X handle to state, “This is why @ninamdrama is successful. MMA journalism is dead. I want to fight for the belt.. done. No interview.”

He added, “The UFC strips the identity of their fighters so they’re easy to replace. Nina gives fighters a spot light to be more than just a logo.” Nina Marie Danielle was a playboy model before she transitioned to writing and then to MMA influencing. Her career has taken different turns and she is standing at the peak of it. Regardless, Drama also admires Sean Strickland to the core as well.
In one conversation with the media, the MMA personality emphasized that Sean Strickland is the people’s champ. She said, “He is the people’s champ. He really is that guy. I’ve never seen Sean say no to a fan. They motivate him too, and they help him get to where he is. You don’t see that a lot.” Well, their friendship seemingly goes the distance but what are your thoughts on their dynamic? State your opinion in the comments below.
