The last two UFC PPVs of 2023 have everyone buzzing with anticipation, but that’s not all! UFC’s head honcho, Dana White, just threw us a curveball of excitement. Recently, the UFC CEO made an unexpected announcement about the first three PPVs of 2024. According to his latest video, UFC 297, UFC 298, and UFC 299 will all have title fights.

While fans have high expectations from the upcoming UFC 295 and UFC 296 PPV, no one has any idea about what 2024 holds for the promotion. Recently, White announced fights that will bring UFC fans to the edge of their seats.

At UFC 294, Khamzat Chimaev defeated Kamaru Usman, in what was deemed a UFC middleweight title contender fight. Next, fans were expecting ‘Borz’ to fight Sean Strickland for the title. However, Dricus Du Plessis has taken his place, as he faces ‘Tarzan’ at UFC 297 in January.

Du Plessis was initially going to fight for the title at UFC 293. However, due to problems in his recovery, the African fighter did not go ahead with the fight. Now, after several months, Du Plessis returns for the title fight he earned back at UFC 290. And that’s not all as the UFC CEO has confirmed more.

Alexander Volkanovski returns against Ilia Topuria; Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera is finalized!

In the UFC’s second PPV of 2024, fans will witness the return of Alexander Volkanovski. He lost to rival Islam Makhachev at UFC 294 via KO. Next, he will face one of the most dangerous strikers in the featherweight division, Ilia Topuria. With a perfect record of 14-0, Topuria is going to pose a tough challenge in front of the Australian champion.

At UFC 299, UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley will return to face his old rival, Marlon Vera. Fans will be excited to witness this fight, as the two fighters have an intriguing history. At UFC 252, ‘Sugar’ faced Vera in a promising matchup. However, the fight unexpectedly ended in the first round.

Just as the exchanges started, Vera landed a kick that delivered substantial nerve damage to O’Malley’s leg. As his leg was compromised, ‘Sugar’ fell to the ground and his opponent unleashed a flurry of punches. The fight ended in a TKO, and is O’Malley’s only loss!
