Sean O’Malley looks perfectly ready to go up against Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera for his UFC 299 rematch. The bantamweight champion defeated Aljamain Sterling to claim his UFC gold and this will be his very first title defense, that too against a formidable opponent. This one might just be personal.

Sean O’Malley has only one loss in his UFC career and that came at the hands of Marlon Vera too. Leading up to the fight, ‘Suga’ was fairly confident that Vera was just another name to cross off the list. However, today, he’s the one man he couldn’t defeat. Will this change soon? Perhaps O’Malley’s new shorts will come in handy.

In a recent X post, Sean O’Malley revealed a brand new version of his fighting shorts. Bright pink in color, they suit just the fighter’s flamboyant style. “What’s up fellas? We’re four days from UFC 299 live on pay-per-view,” said the champ in a clip he shared, sporting the shorts.

O’Malley is clearly on his way to change the usual tradition. UFC champions are often seen wearing shorts that are black and gold in color signifying that they are indeed champions with the black and gold belts on their waists. O’Malley’s shorts are pink with his name written in gold.

Will the UFC eventually create a pink belt for him too? That’s questionable. Either way, fans have had their own way of enjoying the new look on ‘Suga’. Staying true to his nickname, O’Malley and his fandom are embracing the new look one way or another.
