Conor McGregor is always on the news for something or the other. He has been gaining a lot of limelight lately for his upcoming return to the octagon after three years, with a bout against Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, earlier this month, McGregor caused an uproar in the UFC world as he slammed his fan, Sean O’Malley, while criticizing Ryan Garcia for the positive drug test report. It did not take much time for the 35-year-old to make a U-turn and express his admiration for O’Malley.

However, it seems like the 29-year-old is pretty made at McGregor and is not ready to make peace yet.

During one of his recent live sessions, one fan asked Conor McGregor about his rant on Garcia and O’Malley on X, which caused disappointment to Sean O’Malley. To this, the 35-year-old replied, “You know, I like Sean O’Malley; I do actually like Sean. I just seen the disrespect of [Ryan] Garcia… it just reminded me of a situation with Sean, and he kind of got caught in the crosshairs. He also said something like he’d beat me, not in his wildest dreams. But I do like Sean.”

On his YouTube channel, the 29-year-old was recently questioned by Tim Welch about this incident and his equation with McGregor. The bantamweight champion revealed, “Connor did his live, he went live did a little live gambling said uh…Someone asked him why O’Malley looked up to you blah blah blah. He said ‘I caught the crosshairs because of Ryan Garcia’, then he talks about Ryan Garcia missing weight and somehow, I was involved in that.”

‘Suga’ also mentioned, “Little weird but he also said that we take the gloves off and fight b** which was kind of mean.” O’Malley further stated that he tried hating McGregor, but it did not work. Notably, in the past, the 29-year-old had been vocal about his admiration for McGregor, as he also hailed him as his idol. However, let’s see why this beef started and how ‘Suga’ got involved. Where does the duo’s relationship stand right now?

Are The Notorious and Suga on good terms?

After Ryan Garcia tested positive and his victory against Devin Haney came under threat, Conor McGregor took to his official X account to rant. He attacked Garcia, saying that the latter should have a lifetime ban from the UFC. In this beef, ‘The Notorious’ even pulled O’Malley into the rift as he called the two fighters, “cheaters,” and asked them to settle the matter with a spar at his Black Forge Inn.

This X rant created big news in the UFC industry, and Sean O’Malley also gave his opinion on the whole at the ‘TImboSugarShow’ saying, “F— Conor, man, I’ve seen a lot of people being like, ‘Yeah, I bet Suga is sad. Suga is always talking [but] great about Conor, and he’s his f—ing idol.’ He just went on a little tweet rant. F—ing booger sugar’d up, talking s—. ‘I’ll fly you out to spar.’ Yeah, right. I was more sad than mad.” O’Malley went as far as to say that he hopes McGregor loses the upcoming fight against Michael Chandler.
