Henry Cejudo and Merab Dvalishvili’s fight was the perfect representative of the power and skill Dvalishvili has in him. UFC 298 witnessed the bantamweight bout between Cejudo and Dvalishvili where ‘The Machine’ clinched a victory over the former dual weight champion, Henry Cejudo by way of a unanimous decision, marking his way to the 10th back-to-back victory in the bantamweight division.

Dvalishvili’s is now looking at a possible title run and the winner of the main event of UFC 299, Sean O’Malley vs, Marlon Vera would be his next opponent. Amid all the tussle, Cejudo has made a rather stressful remark for O’Malley and Vera. Let us dive into what Cejudo had to say to them.

Sean O’Malley became the new bantamweight champion of the world by dethroning Aljamain Sterling and the first fight that he desired was a rematch against Marlon Vera. ‘Chito’ immediately took Suga’s challenge and now the duo is set to lock horns again at the UFC 299 event. They might be looking at each other as potential threats, but according to Cejudo, none of them are ready for Dvalishvili.

The former dual weight champion recently in a conversation stated that ‘The Machine’ is the best bantamweight fighter in the current roster and defeating him would be difficult for O’Malley and Vera. “You have now pretty much fought the best guys in the world. I mean, when this guy[Merab Dvalishvili] steps between the fight, Sean O’Malley or Chito Vera, it’s gonna be easy work for him. So, I thought the same thing, Sean”

He further added “I was like, “Sean, this dude is sloppy, Sean, this dude is XYZ,” but he is different when he actually goes in there. It’s different when he sets the pace, and that guy doesn’t necessarily have that knockout power or accuracy, but he has that “go” in him, you know? Merab is going to get that belt; he is going to stop either Chito or Sean O’Malley. I promise you that.”

‘The Machine’ is closer to the bantamweight title than anyone in the division right now and we are kind of sure that he would face either Sean O’Malley or Marlon Vera next. Interestingly, Cejudo had claimed that he would retire if Dvalishvili beat him but now he is making a 180-degree on his words.

Henry Cejudo’s recent loss against Merab Dvalishvili was a bit insulting for him considering that ‘The Machine’ literally toyed with him in the entire match. After the match, Cejudo took off his gloves, and this gesture by the former dual-weight champion further emphasized Cejudo’s retirement rumors. However, Cejudo has now stated that he won’t be retiring soon enough.

On his YouTube handle, Cejudo said “I just cannot let it roll like this, as much as it hurts. Again, guys, I take the L. But I cannot take the L knowing the way that I pretty much went out. For that reason, I cannot go out like that. So I’m here today, ladies and gentlemen, taking my word back as a man, confronting you guys—the people, my fans, my family, my friends, the haters—that I just cannot go out like this. Guys, to say the least, it is far from over with the ‘Triple C.’ “
