Sean O’Malley, the rising UFC bantamweight prospect, casts his prediction on the former two-division champion Conor McGregor’s big UFC return. ‘Suga’ believes ‘The Notorious’ might not be returning anytime soon.

The former UFC lightweight champion has just recovered from a gruesome injury he faced in his last outing. He is back to training and has hinted at a comeback this year. Ever since McGregor’s comeback news, there have been a lot of speculations surrounding his next fight and opponent. However, nothing is on the paper yet.
Pointing at this, the bantamweight star O’Malley stated that we would surely know if McGregor was fighting, as the Irishman is a prominent name in the promotion. He brings in huge pay-per-view numbers in his bouts. Hence, the UFC does heavy promotion before his fights.
‘Suga’, in a recent interview with Helen Yee said, “Yeah, I don’t think Conor, I feel like we would know if Conor was fighting July 2nd maybe not I guess it is still three months, out but they (UFC) will do they always do a huge show for that.”

“So I don’t know we will see. But if I had to fight on a Conor card, I would. I just prefer not to.” O’Malley concluded.
Conor McGregor: More on his return and next opponent
Ever since ‘The Notorious’ has recovered from the injury, he has been asking for a title fight. Previously, he aimed at the lightweight gold by calling out the current champion Charles Oliveira.
‘Do Bronx’ agreed to fight the former champion, as McGregor brings global attention and a lucrative paycheck. However, the Brazilian is now set to defend his title against the number one contender Justin Gaethje on the UFC 274 card.

Recently, the former two-weight champion has also expressed his desire to fight the welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, for the belt. As this will make him the first three-weight champion in UFC history.

But all of these fights were just in the talks and never on the paper. Hence, for now, we will have to wait to see what the UFC does with the Irish superstar.
