Is Sean O'Malley the next Conor McGregor, or is he carving his own unique path?

Belal Muhammad just proved all critics wrong and became the first fighter from Palestine to win a UFC championship. The landscape is already shifting because now there seems to be another all-rounded MMA fighter other than Sean O’Malley. Joe Rogan had recently complimented ‘Suga’ by saying that he was the most well-rounded fighter in the UFC. Now Muhammad akaRemember The Name” who just increased his winning streak by defeating Leon Edwards in a rematch, is threatening Sean O’Malley’s position as an all-around fighter. So what did Suga have to say after his win?

Belal Muhammad is known for his fearsome grappling and wrestling skills. On top of that, he trained with Khabib Nurmagomedov for this fight so he was pretty confident and said that he was a well-rounded fighter. During the recent Weighing In podcast, he said,Honestly, I think that I’m the most complete martial artist in the game right now, especially in my division,Muhammad declared. You’ve seen me just strike guys. In my last two fights, I had to shoot one takedown and I outstruck Gilbert Burns and Sean Brady.”

Meanwhile, Sean O’Malley also gave him a nod while watching the UFC 304 fight live and had some good things to say about the new welterweight champion. He said, “Belal’s been good, he’s f*cking super skilled, he’s always been good and to do that against Leon, especially with Leon’s confidence, that high, is very impressive. That’s a long road to champion, well deserved.”

However, ‘Suga’ appreciated Belal’s win and said good things about him. The fans were happy and chimed in.

One fan commended Sean O’Malley and said, “Sean gets a lot of unwarranted hate from the hardcore fanbase primarily because UFC kept pushing him to be the next Conor. But at his core, he’s a nice guy. A fun fighter too. If it wasn’t for Umar, Sean would be the one I’d have been rooting for. Meanwhile, another fan added, “Suga is way better and cooler champ than Aljo.”

O‘Malley is going to fight Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 at The Sphere and the tension is high. O’Malley improved his record to 18-1 after his win against Vera and the 29-year-old also became the bantamweight champion after his win over Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292. So fans are looking forward to his next fight and in the meantime complimented him. One follower said, “Respect honesty, one of few people who showed respect to Belal after he won.” Another netizen added, “It is well-deserved tbf but if the judges decided to rob him and give it 48-47 Leon I’m not saying I wouldn’t have laughed.”
