UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey has been recently in the news for all the wrong reasons. The former champion has been talking about her struggles for the last couple of months. However, her comments have not been taken well by most MMA fans out there. In most of her interviews, the 37-year-old targeted the MMA media and UFC veterans, including Joe Rogan, for not supporting her and not showing her the respect that she deserved.

Recently retired UFC legend Matt Brown seemed pretty much confused with the way Rousey has been behaving lately. In a candid conversation, he shared his opinion about the former champion while also giving some words of advice to Rousey to pave her way back to the mixed martial arts.

Ronda Rousey faced one of the devastating knockouts when she took on Holly Holm at UFC 193. However, in her recent interviews, she claimed concussion was the main reason for her loss. While her reasons angered most fans, her latest comments are no different. Rousey claimed that she has been vilified by the MMA media on multiple occasions, which has ruined her image and achievements.

However, Brown doesn’t quite agree with it. In the recent episode of ‘The Fighter vs. The Writer’ podcast, he said, “I got losses. I got way more losses than Ronda. I fought a lot more times than Ronda. But you don’t wanna go round living that way. Blaming other people for the way your life is the way you are portrayed.”

The UFC legend also made it clear that Rousey can sort things out by making a few changes. He added, “I don’t doubt for a second that she could reconcile out everything. Like she could walk in and show a little bit of humility. She doesn’t realize, I think most of the MMA world wants to love her. She’s is a perfect figure for all of us to love and attach to, She has all of the right qualities but she pushes us away, She pushes that away from her. I think every fan wants to love her. “

Brown then went on to advise her to keep a PR team, which would make things easier. During one of her interviews, Rousey spoke her heart out on multiple issues including UFC and MMA. However, it seems that the former champion has moved on from her UFC colleagues, as she is hurt because of the way she was treated.

Rousey shared how she received no support during her downfall

Ronda Rousey sat down for a chat with Chris Cuomo last month to share her honest experiences. She pointed out that her former friend Joe Rogan turned his back on her. Meanwhile, there’s one more aspect that bothered the former champion. Despite being one of the most dominating athletes in the UFC, Rousey lacked support in recent times. She revealed that none of her colleagues enquired about her during her downfall. The 37-year-old said, “I’ll be waiting for that call forever.”

The host was quick to dive back in for confirmation, but this time got a completely new response. Ronda this time around said, “I’m not waiting for it and I get that they’re a bunch of a***oles. That’s what I get… At least I would rather not have those fake, you know, friendships in my life. I’d rather that those people expose themselves and I, I don’t, you know, leave myself open to them.” There is no doubt that Rousey is one of the legends of the sport. She is the first woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. However, it seems she has to win back all her fans after her recent comments.
