A few days ago, Khabib Nurmagomedov faced great humiliation during his journey from Las Vegas to San Francisco. During the customary briefing, ‘The Eagle’, who was seated next to the emergency exit, was asked multiple times if was willing and able to assist during emergencies. Apparently, Nurmagomedov had trouble understanding, but following a few repetitions, he jutted out a ‘yes’. But the flight attendant had her doubts and asked the former champion to vacate his seat or deplane. Ultimately, Nurmagomedov was escorted out. This gave Conor McGregor yet another chance to mock the Dagestani.
Initially, people believed that Nurmagomedov was deplaned from Alaska Air. But after arriving at his destination, the former undefeated UFC lightweight champion cleared the air that it was actually Frontier Airlines. He pointed out that the flight attendant was rude to him from the beginning. Even after he agreed to be willing and able to assist during an emergency, the flight attendant had him deplaned. All she had to say was, “I’m not gonna do this back and forth. I’ll go call a supervisor. You can either take a different seat or we can go ahead and escort you off the plane.”
Soon after Nurmagomedov released his statement on social media, ‘The Notorious’ took to Instagram and followed the airlines’ handle. This was nothing short of a mockery of Nurmagomedov’s current situation. The news was shared by Championship Rounds on Instagram. The caption of the post read, “Conor McGregor is now following Frontier Airlines on Instagram, the same airline that recently kicked Khabib off a flight.”

The incident has sparked some serious controversy. Listen to what Khabib’s coach Javier Mendez said: “…the whole world is thinking a lot of it because they racially profiled him one million per cent. There’s no way you can tell me you can’t look at that video, see what they’re saying, he was asking the correct questions! They ask if he speaks English he says yeah, they ask if he can help he says yeah, then he asks ‘what is the problem who is complaining about me?’ Then it’s the stewardess don’t feel comfortable with you and I saw the video and said ‘ah, this is what they’re doing’.”
Needless to say, the fighting community jumped into action as soon as the post hit the social media platform. While Conor McGregor intended to add insult to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s injury, his actions took a U-turn and had the fans mocking him instead. Let’s see what the fighting community had to say about it.

One of the fight fans decided to shine some light on the embarrassing defeat McGregor faced at UFC 229. Getting tapped out after hyping up the fight to that extent was indeed a painful moment for the Irish fighter. Weighing in on this, the fan wrote, “Bro lives every single day in pain.😂” Well, it was probably the pain of the loss and the unfinished rivalry that still pushed ‘Mystic Mac’ to be bitter toward Dagestani fighters, especially ‘The Eagle.’
This bitterness got the former UFC double champion a unique title from one of the fans. The comment read, “Bro is the ultimate hater 😭😭😭.” Another fan pointed out that he was indeed a “Bitter man😂.” Even though some of the fans were big McGregor fans, the Dubliner’s saltiness was what didn’t sit well with many. A fan commented, “I like McGregor but he always salty asf 😂😂.”
A few of the fans even lifted up ‘The Notorious’ as a filthy rich fighter, who might do certain unthinkable acts just to rub salt on Nurmagomedov’s wounds. One fan reflected on this and wrote, “Conor Will buy this company 😂😂😂.” However, many others believed that it was nothing short of an embarrassing deed for the ‘Road House’ actor. A fan commented, “Conor finds a new way to embarrass himself daily. Remarkable, actually.” Another fan shone some light on McGregor’s habit of lashing out at entities on X and then deleting his tweets. The comment read, “Give it days Conor will go ballistic soon enough on X then delete as usual.”

Nevertheless, ‘The Eagle’ received support from fans and fighters alike. Daniel Cormier, Michael Chandler, and many others defended Nurmagomedov, claiming that the airline staff made a huge mistake. Later on, Frontier Airlines had to respond and comment on Nurmagomedov’s statement that they were investigating the incident. And now, they released a statement, claiming that it was all in accordance with the FAA requirements.
But what do you think of McGregor’s action? Do you think he did the right thing by following Frontier Airlines’ IG profile? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
