UFC 291 fight card recently underwent a massive change. The change occurred after Paulo Costa pulled out of his fight against Ikram Aliskerov. The Brazilian fighter and Russian newcomer were set to fight on July 29 at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. Just days before the bout, Costa made it clear that he was not interested in fighting Aliskerov. The Dagestani fighter has fought only one bout at the UFC. However, his MMA record stands at a whopping 14 victories and just one loss. The only bout that he lost was against Costa’s bitter rival, Khamzat Chimaev, at Brave CF 23. Presently, Roman Dolidze will take the place of Costa and fight against Aliskerov. ‘Borrachinha’ initially didn’t mention any reason for his withdrawal from the upcoming showdown.

Later, through social media, he hinted that he is preparing for a huge fight against the undefeated UFC fighter, Chimaev, in October in Abu Dhabi. Nonetheless, Costa’s actions have infuriated the fans, as ‘Borrachinha’ has done this before. Costa withdrew from his bout against Robert Whittaker at UFC 284. ‘The Reaper’ himself came forward to confirm that it was the truth. Now he has once again pulled out of a fight and is yet to come up with a genuine reason. The enraged fans want Costa to be released from the UFC.
