Undefeated Irish fighter Ian Garry already has in mind whom he wants to fight next. ‘The Future’ wants his next fight in December on the card that Conor McGregor is rumored to return at. Furthermore, he aims to challenge a seasoned welterweight division veteran, known for being one of the top strikers.

Ian Machado Garry is on a roll in the UFC. He registered his sixth consecutive win against veteran Neil Magny at UFCV 292. The 25-year-old dominated ‘The Haitian Sensation’. Now, he wants another fight in December to end the year on a high.

Ian Garry has no intentions of “slowing down”

Irish rising star Ian Garry has already fought three times this year and has no plans to take a break. He defeated Song Kenan, Daniel Rodriguez, and Neil Magny in 2023, and now he wants to go again. Garry said, “I don’t want to stop. I fought three times in five months and I don’t have any plans on slowing down.”

He also mentioned that he has made his intentions clear to President Dana White and the UFC executives regarding his next fight, even though it is not finalized yet. “No, it is not a done deal, but I’ve made it very clear to obviously the UFC and everyone involved what I want,” said Garry. Furthermore, he wants to fight on the same card as his idol, Conor McGregor.

‘The Future’ wants to fight in the rumored Conor McGregor card

‘The Notorious’ had already mentioned that he’s eyeing a return to the Octagon in December. He is most likely to fight Michael Chandler since it was the initial plan for his comeback. Now, his Irish underling, Ian Garry, also wants to fight on the same card. Moreover, he wants to fight Stephen Thompson. Garry said, “I want December 16th, I want the UFC pay-per-view in Las Vegas, and I wanna fight Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.”

In addition to that, the 25-year-old also mentioned that he does not want a regular 3-rounder. Instead, he wants to fight ‘Wonderboy’ in a five-round fight to give the fans a fight to remember. “I want it over five rounds because I think about the fans in that situation. Could you imagine five rounds of me vs. ‘Wonderboy’ to prove who the greatest striker in the welterweight division is? That’s a barn burner,” said Ian Garry.

There is still no word from the UFC brass as to when Ian Garry will fight next. However, he is one of the brightest prospects in the promotion and Dana White might set up a fight for him soon.
