The last time Conor McGregor fought inside the Octagon, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer was yet to be announced. Well, the former UFC double-weight champion was supposed to lock horns against Michael Chandler at the UFC 303 but a minor toe injury halted his progress as he pulled out of the clash and now Chandler is about to clash against Charles Oliveira at the UFC 309, so does that mean ‘Notorious’s comeback story has officially ended? Well, it might be under the tutelage of UFC but when it comes to BKFC things are different.

While having a conversation with Damon Martin of MMAFighting, BKFC CEO, David Feldman emphasized that McGregor might fight under BKFC at some point in the future and he can earn a substantial amount of money from it as well, “The UFC doesn’t need us. Like, they don’t need us. We need a co-pro with them,” said Feldman.

He further added, “They don’t need a co-pro with us, which would be phenomenal. They’re not going to do it. They’re not going to do it. If they do Conor McGregor in anything, they don’t have to do a co-pro with us, but that being said, I mean, unless he’s the best salesman in the world, because the talks that we’ve had, he’s like, ‘I’m fighting here. I’m like, ‘yeah, okay’. He’s like, ‘I’m fighting here. I’m fighting here’. And then I go, ‘well, why wouldn’t you fight here because you have equity in the company and if you fight here, you’ll probably make more money here than anywhere else in the world because of what it’s going to do for the company’. So, I truly believe what you said. I think 100% he fights here.”

Sean O’Malley vs. Devin Haney soon?

Sean O’Malley failed to defend his bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306. O’Malley was completely dominated by the Georgian fighter who clinched the victory by way of a unanimous decision. Well, things have been a bit difficult for the former champion since his loss. Regardless, O’Malley has called out Devin Haney for a fight stating that he would out his own money for the fight.

Speaking on his YouTube handle, O’Malley stated, “Boxers are f**king p**sies, dude. Devin Haney’s a b**ch. He’s such a b**ch. Dude, if Devin Haney wants to talk s**t, if he really wants to fight, I’ll put a million dollars on me versus him, no time limit, and we can fight. MMA rules, just a fight, or we could do no rules. If you want to f**king eye poke me, you can. Do a real f**king fight.”

Responding to this, Haney took to his X handle to call out the former bantamweight champion, “I don’t fight for a million dollars like you. @SugaSeanMMA let’s do a boxing fight & give us a shot at making real money!.” Haney’s response was a bit crass but it was taken into consideration by ‘Suga’, who called out the boxer again on X, “Let’s just fight for fun then. I don’t need money to fight your dumb ass. You suck.” Well, we might witness a fight between them sooner or later, regardless, let us move on to Aljamain Sterling.

“Maybe [I’ll fight] Diego Lopes… But, if you’re giving me the option, I always wanted Brian Ortega so I can get the closest spot to the top [but] now that the next closest guy is Diego Lopes. That’s all it is, it has nothing to do with what this guy did, it’s the name value, what it gets me [and] risk versus reward,” said Sterling.
