Conor McGregor mourns Sinead O’Connor’s death

‘The Notorious’ joined the Irish masses to mourn the death of singing sensation Sinead O’Connor. She died at the age of 56. The cause of her death wasn’t disclosed. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor took to Twitter and shared a heartwarming message for O’Connor. He mentioned how special of an icon she was for Ireland. He wrote, “The world has lost an artist with the voice of an Angel. Ireland has lost an iconic voice and one of our absolute finest, by a long shot.”

Conor McGregor shared a close relationship with Sinead O’Connor. She performed her most famous song, ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, during ‘The Notorious’s walkout at UFC 189. McGregor added, “And I have lost a friend. Sinead’s music will live on and continue to inspire! Rest In Peace, Sinead you are home with your son I am sure.” The news of Sinead O’Connor’s demise comes a year after her son died at the age of 17 years. Meanwhile, the Irish music icon is survived by three other children.
Sean Strickland vs. Israel Adesanya is not going to happen
After South African star Dricus du Plessis was ruled out of his championship fight against Israel Adesanya, it seemed like Sean Strickland would be the next in line for a title shot. It would have been the biggest opportunity of ‘Tarzan’s MMA career. But as of a recent tweet by Strickland, the fight may not take place after all.

A fan recently shared a message for Sean Strickland, asking him to defeat Israel Adesanya. However, he replied to the fan on Twitter and stated that the UFC doesn’t want that fight. Strickland wrote, “Ufc don’t want it.. sorry man.”
Sean Strickland is currently on a 2-fight winning streak and received a bonus after defeating Abus Magomedov. We will have to wait and see who fights Adesanya next for his middleweight title.
Paulo Costa accuses Khamzat Chimaev of going against Dana White’s plans
‘The Eraser’ recently made an appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’ ahead of his fight against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi. He mentioned that ‘Borz’ didn’t want to fight him initially, even after UFC president Dana White wanted to make it happen. He said, “I want that fight so bad, a lot. Dana wants a lot that fight. The audience wants that fight. But not Chimaev.”

He further mentioned that instead of listening to what Dana White had to offer, Chimaev called out other fighters. The list included Leon Edwards, Kamaru Usman, and even Belal Muhammad. Costa added, “Chimaev doesn’t want that fight, so he tried hard to get another guy to fight. Leon Edwards, Belal Muhammad, [Kamaru] Usman, he called [out] all these guys.” However, as the fight is now on, Khamzat Chimaev has promised to make Paulo Costa cry amidst their heated back-and-forth on social media. It remains to be seen if that will really happen when they finally meet inside the Octagon.
