Before retiring from the sport, Ronda Rousey achieved everything in her illustrious career. She is the only woman to become a champion in the UFC and WWE. Rousey was also voted as the female athlete of all time in a 2015 ESPN fan poll. Adding to her accolades, Fox Sports labeled her as ‘one of the defining athletes of the 21st century’. However, she doesn’t want her children to take up fighting . ‘Rowdy’ is aware of the problems related to the sport and said “I mean, if they wanted to I would do everything that I could to make sure that they’re great as possible.”
However, she then made it clear that competing professionally would be completely her their choice. Professional fighting does come with its own share of physical problems and Rousey is a testament of that. It seems that the 37-year-old is reluctant to force her child into fighting.
She further added and said, “But I would never like to push them towards it . You can’t make somebody fight. It’s something that is inside of you that you can’t help. I’ll make sure they know how to fight because you know it’s a survival skill and I think it builds like a lot of discipline. It’s very character-developing and all of that. Whether or not they want to compete, it’s up to them. “
