Brendan Schaub faced Travis Browne at UFC 181, back in December 2014. Without a doubt, Ronda Rousey must have had one crazy night. Watching her ex-boyfriend getting downed by her husband, Rousey couldn’t contain her emotions. Even the sweetest of people have dark sides, too.

In her book, ‘Our Fight: A Memoir’, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion revealed the troubles she went through while dating Schaub. However, the dark side of the UFC Hall of Famer wasn’t hidden. In her newest book, the former fighter revealed the story of how she had her revenge exacted through her husband.

Did Ronda Rousey exact revenge on Brendan Schaub?

Rousey’s newest book offers a deep dive into the life of the retired mixed martial artist, and her struggles with her ex-boyfriend. She revealed that Schaub thrived on playing mind games as she went on to fight in the Octagon.

Furthermore, they also had to keep their relationship a secret, so that no one got to know about the heavyweight contender as ‘Ronda Rousey’s Boyfriend’. Yet, ‘Rowdy’ apparently had the time of her life as Browne took down Schaub back in UFC 181.

Although she admitted to pretending that the fight wasn’t personal, her emotions exploded as the fight was on live television. Rousey disclosed that despite trying not to be overly emotional, she found herself screaming, “Get him, Travis!” But when Browne finally took down Schaub, he had a message to deliver.

In the book, Rousey revealed, “When Travis knocked him out at the end of the first round, I didn’t think it could get any more gratifying. My ex covered up on the ground while Travis pounded away on him. The referee waved the match over. Then Travis, towering over the crumpled, semi-conscious body of my ex, leaned down and whispered something in his ear. His words were indiscernible to the camera, but I swore I could hear Travis’s voice saying, “Ronda says f*** you.”

But what entailed for Rousey to have such a reaction? Is it all in the past now?

Given their bittersweet relationship, Rousey and Schaub were bound to separate. And it happened in 2014. Needless to say, break-ups are seldom normal. The former heavyweight contender had it hard when he made several unpleasant revelations about ‘Rowdy’ following their break-up. But soon, he declared that he was over it. However, when Browne posted an old picture on IG, the old rivalry got a chance to get back into action. 

Commenting on the act, Schaub declared that Browne’s behavior was nothing but childish. “It’s over. I have no hard feelings. I like him. He’s a nice guy, his girl. What’s there to say? Is there hard feelings because I dated your girl years ago? Move on, man. I don’t hold grudges,” he said.
