According to her, she fell out of love with the sport and didn’t want to compete again in the Olympics. She then explained the mistake she made in her MMA career. The Baddest Woman on the Planet also mentioned how one needs to be a “people pleaser” to stay at the top. She explained how this could help one “excel,” but can also be “an obstacle” sometimes. Rousey added, “Knowing when is the right time to walk away, it’s got to be your decision, ’cause not everybody else is going to come to a consensus. And nobody knows what you’re actually going through and what it actually takes.”

Legends in other sports have made the same mistake of not knowing when to leave the sport. This includes the likes of Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Michael Schumacher.
