Roman Dolidze’s Wife and Kids: All About the UFC Middleweight’s Personal Life

Unlike almost every other fighter in the UFC, Roman Dolidze broke into the mixed martial arts scene very late. The Georgian only started training in the sport when he was nearly thirty but ultimately achieved a solid grappling base. Which is why his progress in the sport is pretty impressive.

The Georgian made his professional MMA debut in December 2016 and had an impressive run in the local MMA circuit. After that, he joined the UFC and has been on an upward trend and has broken into the middleweight division rankings, being ranked #10. Behind, every successful man, as they say, is a woman, and that seems to be the case for Dolidze too, as he is married.

Who is Roman Dolidze’s wife and does the UFC star have kids?

Roman Dolidze is married. But ‘The Caucasian’ prefers to keep his personal life private despite his regular social media usage and posts. There is almost no trace of his wife on any of his official social handles. Which is why not much is known about his wife.

What we do know is that the Georgian is married to Georgia Sokhumi, and from his posts on Instagram, it seems the couple has a son named Amiran. He was born in the town of Odesa, Ukraine. But apart from that, nothing else is known to the public. As for his wife, Georgia, nothing except for her name is known, and everything about her nationality, ethnicity, or what she does is unknown.

Despite the strict privacy maintained by the middleweight mixed martial artist and his wife, Dolidze has seldom failed to shower praise on his family. But everything else about Georgia Sokhumi is as mysterious as things can get.

How the couple met or how long they have been married is also something ‘The Caucasian’ has never spoken about publicly. However, what we do know is the story of how he started his combat sports career, in which the country of Ukraine played an important part.

How did Dolidze start fighting?

Roman Dolidze started training in martial arts only at the age of 22 when he moved to the port town of Odesa in Ukraine. The Georgian went there originally to study shipbuilding at the Maritime Academy in the Black Sean port city. He decided to get a degree in Business Administration there, and that is where his combat sports journey started.

He soon found and fell in love with combat sports, and started training in grappling in the second year of his college. His choice of martial arts was Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Combat Sambo, the traditional Russian sport, which is the base of legendary Russian fighters such as Khabib Nurmagomedov and reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. So good a grappler is Dolidze that he has an ADCC Asian and Oceania as well as FILA championship under his belt.

Dolidze only began training in mixed martial arts at the age of 28, and within four years, made his UFC debut in 2020, where he has continued to impress despite a few hiccups on the way as he has suffered three losses (for six wins) in the UFC.

Now, ‘The Caucasian’ is all set to land against ‘Big Mouth’ Kevin Holland at UFC 307. Needless to say, the Georgian professional mixed martial artist looks up to adding one more victory to his long list of accolades. And his significant other will definitely be the loudest voice cheering for him at the event.
