Caio Borralho has finally broken into the UFC’s top 5 after an extraordinary five-round war against former title challenger Jared Cannonier. Riding high on that monumental win, the Brazilian wasted no time in making his ambitions clear, calling out Dricus du Plessis, a challenge he claims to have issued “twice already.” But after some reflection, Borralho shifted his sights to a more formidable target: the former two-time middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya.
Adesanya, known for his slick striking and mental toughness, isn’t ready to step away from the octagon just yet. Despite recent setbacks, the fighter still has a fire burning inside him for one last major run. But Borralho, brimming with confidence and momentum, believes the tides have turned against ‘Izzy.’ He boldly claims that he is the only logical contender left for Adesanya, an opinion that finds support from none other than Robert Whittaker, another top contender in the division.
The stage is set for a potential clash of styles and eras. Borralho, with his rising star power, and Adesanya, the seasoned veteran looking to reclaim his throne. Will ‘The Natural’ be the one to finally close the chapter on Adesanya’s reign, or does ‘The Last Stylebender’ have one more trick up his sleeve? The middleweight division is on the brink of another epic showdown, and fans can’t wait to see how this drama unfolds.

Robert Whittaker is interested in an Israel Adesanya vs Caio Borralho fight
Caio Borralho has shown no signs of inconsistency ever since he stepped foot inside the Octagon and his undefeated run now can only lead him to a title fight. With a 9-0 record, Robert Whittaker believes Israel Adesanya is a logical opponent for him, although underestimating the fallen former champion could be a huge mistake.
“I think that’s a great fight [vs. Adesanya] for him. It’s a tricky fight,” Robert Whittaker stated on his YouTube podcast. “I think the guy’s riding the wave, right? He’s trying to get a title shot riding the wave or ride the wave into the next fight that’ll get him a title shot.”
Calling out Dricus du Plessis might have been a step bit further, so Robert Whittaker, who’s on his own way back to the title picture, believes that calling Israel Adesanya out was the right call. ‘Izzy’ has slipped off after two consecutive defeats, and he has no other choice but to earn his way back up the ranks.

Hunter Campbell has promised a “fun fight” for ‘The Natural’
Caio Borralho claims to have impressed Hunter Campbell in his UFC Vegas 96 outing, lauding him for showing “quality and heart.” The Brazilian star also mentioned that he may not be able to pair him up with Dricus du Plessis at this moment, presumably because of the other contenders on the rise. However, he did promise to present a title fight with one more win under his belt.

“[Campbell] was super happy [with my performance]… He said, ‘In the top 5 of this sport… we’ll see what we have for you. I don’t know if it’s going to be Dricus, but I’ll find a fun fight for you, and then you’ll go for the belt.’ I’m anxious to see which fun fight is that,” Caio Borralho told ‘MMA Fighting’. Israel Adesanya hasn’t made any comments on ‘The Natural’s callout yet, but if he does, he could be that “fun fight” Hunter Campbell’s referring to.
