The rivalry between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz dates back to the year 2016 when the pair first met at UFC 196. Diaz won the fight but McGregor settled the score a few months later. Since then the fans have been waiting for their third fight which now looks like a distant dream. The pair recently showed their interest in fighting each other in UFC 306 at the Sphere in Las Vegas. However, UFC CEO Dana White completely denied the idea in a recent UFC 299 press conference. While speaking to Adam Catterall in a YouTube interview, McGregor shared his frustration.

He said, “It’s good to see Poirier get that win this weekend that makes this the quadrilogy and then we’ll say the real trilogy the finish of it to put an end to push a finish to it. That is a huge bout right now. So I anticipated that result would go that way and I was happy to see it and that’s a big one for sure. Obviously I’ve got that trilogy that’s what I had said for the sphere you know. There was cold water put on that publicly off the bat and I wasn’t happy with that. I need discussion or conversation because you know if I lose interest, I’m not getting anything back. I just drift off my man, so I hope I can get something in and get dialed in. “
