Despite UFC Fight Night: Mexico being a successful night for the promotion overall, it did run into some roadblocks. From drunk fans fighting in the stands to a more serious situation where a fight had to be scratched at the last moment. The fight was between the young bantamweight prospect, Raul Rosas Jr. and Ricky Turcios.
Despite the fight being scrapped at the last minute, it was later revealed by Dana White that the fight had been rescheduled to next weekend’s UFC event. However, Turcios came out later to reveal that Dana White wasn’t being too honest about the announcement.

The fight between Raul Rosas Jr. and Ricky Turcios was canceled just 5 minutes before they were supposed to walk out to fight. This happened as Raul Rosas Jr. had reportedly fallen ill right before the fight. This left “The Ultimate Fighter” quite annoyed with the situation.
Dana White had then later come out to the post-fight press to announce that the fight between Raul Rosas Jr. and Ricky Turcios was postponed to a later venue next week. Which, according to Turcios wasn’t agreed up by their team. He took to his Instagram account to address the misinformation that was conveyed by the UFC CEO, while also taking a jab at Raul Rosas Jr. for pulling out of the fight at the last moment.
In the caption of the story, he wrote, “FAKE NEWS!! No fight contract has been signed yet for a new date. Last night Rosas Jr said no fight literally 5 minutes before the walk out to fight in the octagon. Rosas Jr said no to facing me in the octagon in front of his 20,000 Mexican fans in Mexico City. Rosas Jr disrespected the bushido code… very unprofessional. Ricky “TheUltimateFighter” wins in Mexico City VIVA MEXICO !!! Thank you to all my friends, family, & all the fans ALL LOVE”

“The Ultimate Fighter” seems annoyed with the whole situation. But having to face such problems right before the fight, after such a long fight camp, would make everyone feel the same. However, why did Raul Rosas Jr. pull out of the fight?

Why was Raul Rosas Jr. pulled out of the fight?
UFC bantamweight prospect, Raul Rosas Jr. was pulled out from his fight against Ricky Turcios. This happened as the young bantamweight fighter had gotten ill before the fight. However, as per some sources, it might’ve even been more severe than it seemed.
As per some sources, “El Nino Problema” had been battling with an undisclosed ailment 24 hours into the fight. Despite desperately trying to make sure the fight goes on without a hiccup, the 19-year-old was reportedly trying to battle through the pain into to fight in Mexico. However, unfortunately, he succumbed to the indisposition, resulting in him pulling out of the fight.
