The rematch for the UFC middleweight championship is almost here and the fans can not wait for it. During the ceremonial weigh-in, the champion Israel Adesanya and the challenger Robert Whittaker squared off for the last time before UFC 271. With an intense stare-down, the two exchanged a few words as well.

The champion said, “I know you are ready, but so am I.”

The challenger responded, “Let’s have a good fight, brotha.” and the champion stated, “We will.”

Earlier, Israel Adesanya (184) and Robert Whittaker (184) successfully made weight. Both the fighters looked in phenomenal shape, confident, and ready for their fight this weekend.

Also, both the fighters offer that they have improved from their first fight. However, we wouldn’t find who has added more tools to their arsenal and how effective they are till the fight.

When these two fighters met at UFC 243, they were the two best middleweight fighters, and three years later, nothing has changed. These two have set themselves apart from the rest of the division. After their first fight, Jon Anik had stated that the two will meet inside the octagon multiple times.

However, when ‘The Reaper’ lost the championship to ‘The Last Stylebender’, he contemplated retirement. He felt burnt out and did not want to train or think about MMA. But then he found his motive and rejuvenated himself.

Since then, he is collecting wins on his way and has looked impressive in his last three outings. ‘Bobby Knuckles’ has earned the second opportunity to fight the Kiwi kickboxer.

On the other hand, the champion has looked unbeatable in the middleweight division. He has defeated most of the contenders in the division; he has started to lap through the division.
