UFC has seen a lot of career falls and a good amount of retirements as well. However, UFC fans are not ready for the retirement grief that the legendary Amanda Nunes will bring them. ‘The Lioness’ made her MMA debut in 2008, making her a 15-year-old athlete in the sport. The bold lady has a pretty presentable portfolio when it comes to her record. Nunes sits with a strong MMA score of 22-5. She is considered one of the most feared females in the UFC. In fact, Nunes is the first UFC fighter to defend two titles while holding both of them at once. ‘The Lioness’ is definitely the epitome of bravery and courage in the UFC. She is considered the goddess of savagery in the UFC. However, all careers must come to an end one day.

Amanda Nunes is suspected of ending her MMA career soon. The fighter’s path was indeed a long one. However, Nunes has made sure to plant an example yet again. Although no retirement has yet been confirmed officially, UFC legend Michael Bisping has talked about the talented female fighter in his recent YouTube podcast. The legend, along with his friends in the podcast, suspects a reason that points towards the retirement of the Brazilian fighter.

Amanda Nunes’s endgame before retirement

‘The Lioness’ is definitely a very smart fighter. She plays with an open mind not only in the octagon but while planning her fights as well. Recently, Nunes has proved to be a snag in her own upcoming fight. She was supposed to fight Irene Aldana. However, the Brazilian fighter intervened by saying that “she wants the number one contender.” To such a response shown by Nunes, ex-UFC champion Michael Bisping said in his podcast, “I wonder why Nunes is saying that.” The co-host Anthony Smith had a very interesting answer to ‘Count’s curiosity.

With all due respect, seems like Amanda is getting to the end of the road though. The way that she is conducting her career right now does seem like a lady that’s only got a couple left in the chamber and she wants to make it matter,” presented Smith. This angle resonates to be a plausible reason for why Nunes put up a snag.

Will the demand put up by Amanda Nunes come to term?

Reportedly, the 34-year-old is demanding a title eliminator fight between Irene Aldana and Julianna Peña. Although in her last fight with ‘The Lioness’, Peña was defeated badly, she still only wishes to go against the champion herself. Since Nunes has only got a couple of fights rolled up in her roster, it is understandable why she only wants the best of fights to be fought next.
