Joe Rogan's reaction to NASA's crisis—are we doing enough to protect our astronauts?

Astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore are stuck in space and everyone including Joe Rogan is concerned about their safety. On his latest Joe Rogan Experience episode, he decided to take up this topic as a part of the fascinating conversations about space with Greg Fitzsimmons. The UFC color commentator has always been fascinated with space and also has spoken to Elon Musk on more than one occasion.

The theories of Terrence Howard have also astonished him and made him question a lot of things. This time, however, he is questioning the word of science on whether they will be able to save eminent scientists and bring them back to Earth.

During a conversation with comedian, actor, and writer Greg Fitzsimmons, they spoke about the vastness of space and the infinite possibilities that the universe holds. They talked about conspiracy theories and how the universe is expanding. That is when the color commentator suddenly asked about a concerning matter. Rogan asked, “You heard about those people who are stuck at the space station?” This is when the comedian answered in the affirmative and Rogan claimed that Elon Musk had to go rescue them.

Rogan said, Yeah Boeing can’t get ’em. They are having failures with their jets. Boeing one time was talking sh** about SpaceX and now Elon’s talking sh** to Boeing because they’re gonna have to go rescue those people.” To this Greg asked, “Is Russia or China, is anybody else going to the space station? We can catch a ride from?” The color commentator said that he did not know and also updated on the news that astronauts could not stay in outer space for a long time since the mission was only for 10 days.

The situation looks precarious as the two astronauts are stranded on the International Space Station. There have also been updates that the return of the two astronauts will be delayed until February because of problems with the new Boeing spacecraft which is meant to bring them back home. NASA has also decided that the astronauts should instead return on a vessel that is made by SpaceX which is extending their planned 8-day mission to eight months. Elon Musk has spoken to Rogan about Space X and almost everyone knows what it is. On the JRE episode no #2054, Elon Musk spoke about sustaining life on Mars and how his company could help.

Have an interesting take?

The Space X CEO explains that to sustain life in the harsh climate of Mars, humans had to establish a proper environment on that planet to stay alive. Musk said, “Well, at first, you would have a life support system because Mars has a low-density atmosphere, only about 1% the density of Earth and primarily CO2. Now, over time, you could terraform Mars.”

He also explained the meaning of terraform and said that it would be crucial to make terraform Mars. Surprisingly, global warming would be a beneficial thing for the planet, and warming the planet is going to evaporate CO2 that will make the atmosphere denser. “Terraform means making it like Earth, essentially. If you warm Mars up, there’s a bunch of frozen CO2 that will evaporate, densifying the atmosphere. You’d want that kind of global warming on Mars because Mars is about 50% further away from the Sun than Earth. So, it gets less than half of the solar energy that the Earth gets,” said Musk.

The colonization of Mars is probably the most ambitious plan that Elon Musk has. However, right now, the main concern is bringing the 2 astronauts back to Earth which is our home. Do you think Elon Musk and other scientists can bring them back in time?
