Lately, Joe Rogan has developed some really strong opinions about Canada. Not too long ago, he quoted, “I don’t go to Canada anymore. I don’t. I’d rather go to Russia.” And as he kept on commenting at UFC 314, the famed UFC color commentator made his stance about UFC 315 known to the public. He even had some peculiar comments regarding the main and co-main events for UFC 315. Let’s see what he had to say.
First of all, Joe Rogan was completely against the notion of having UFC 315 in Canada. But the UFC big guns have already decided on having the event at Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, in Canada, on the 10th of May, 2025. The main event for UFC 315 will feature the first-ever Palestinian-origin UFC champion, Belal Muhammad. ‘Remember The Name’ is set to defend his welterweight championship title against Jack Della Maddalena. Weighing in on that, the JRE host claimed, “Belal Muhammad is the most under-appreciated champ in UFC.”
And the co-main event for the upcoming PPV, Valentina Shevchenko will clash against Manon Fiorot. Needless to say, Rogan had his opinion set for the female flyweight contenders. He said, “Valentina Shevchenko’s outside of Amanda Nunes, might be the other GOAT.”

Well, this wasn’t the only time Rogan stood in support of the Palestinian-American welterweight champion. While many fans and professionals dismissed Muhammad after he defeated Leon Edwards, Rogan was one of the few who backed ‘Remember The Name’. Let’s see what he had to say.

Joe Rogan praises Belal Muhammad as the welterweight champion
On episode #162 of the JRE MMA Show, Rogan and Muhammad sat down together for a 2-hour-long talk. And right at the beginning, the JRE host showered his praise on the guest. He said, “The champ is here. Everybody has to shut the f— up now…There were so many doubters. So many naysayers, so many people didn’t want you to get that title shot, it was so unfair, dude. It was really wild. It was wild to see…Cause I’m like, ‘Are you guys not watching his fight? Like, what the f— are you guys seeing?’ I do not understand when people don’t appreciate excellence.”

On top of that, as the conversation continued, Rogan asked Muhammad to reflect back on his performance at UFC 304. The UFC color commentator pointed out that Muhammad kept on putting pressure on Edwards while they were on their feet. The champion was on his face right from the beginning. There was no way, Rogan believed, that Muhammad should be criticized for the bout. And yet, even after all that praise, the JRE host confirmed that he won’t be there to commentate on Muhammad’s first title defense at UFC 315.
