Joe Rogan has surfaced back to the headlines. Only this time, it’s all because of a lawsuit. Or rather, the speculation on an impending one. It all started with episode #2182 of the Joe Rogan Experience, where the UFC color commentator was critical of Kamal Harris. But what did MSNBC do? They posted a video that made it seem like Rogan was endorsing the Vice President in her presidential race. And that has reportedly prompted him to file a lawsuit against the media house.
On August 5, self-proclaimed independent journalist Officer Lew tweeted, “BREAKING🚨: Joe Rogan sues MSNBC for $30 million” for deceptively editing clips from his podcast to make it seem like he was pro-Harris. So, what was in the video?
Rogan and his guest, Michael Malice, talked about the current state of the 2024 presidential elections. Therein, he made an argument that “people are giving into the bulls**t in a way I never suspected people would before.” He simply pointed out that, considering she’s going against ex-POTUS Donald Trump, he could “see” Harris winning. That was one part of the video shared by MSNBC, along with clips that weren’t about Harris.

In the video, Rogan said, “She is a strong woman. She is a person who served overseas twice… she was a congresswoman for eight years. She is a person of color. She’s everything you want.” Although the commentator subsequently said, “She’s going to win,” referring to Kamala Harris, the first section of his quotes wasn’t about the Vice President. It was about former US representative and political commentator Tulsi Gabbard. However, MSNBC posted this video with the caption, “Joe Rogan predicts a Kamala Harris victory in November,” making it seem like he praised Harris.
Unbelievable. MSNBC deceptively edited this clip to make it look like Joe Rogan is fawning over Kamala Harris.

Realizing their mistake, MSNBC took down that video and posted a new one. Starting with the clip where Joe Rogan said, “She’s going to win,” they stitched the commentator’s reasoning for believing so. He’d said on his podcast, “They just want no Trump, no matter what, and they’re willing to gaslight themselves.” The caption to go along with this? “Joe Rogan said on his podcast that he thinks Vice President Kamala Harris will win the presidency.” In fact, they even added a correction.
“Correction: We have removed an earlier version of this post that incorrectly implied Joe Rogan was talking more about Vice President Kamala Harris. He was referring to Tulsi Gabbard,” the caption read. Considering he meant all this about Gabbard, what did he really say about Kamala Harris?
“It all bothers me. The fragility of the human mind. Everyone forever was like Kamala Harris is the least popular Vice President of all time,” Joe Rogan stated. “And then, all of a sudden, she’s our solution. She’s our hero; everybody’s with her – all these social media posts about her. Try Googling a negative story on her, you won’t find one.” Seeing how MSNBC took Rogan’s words out of context, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that the 56-year-olf podcaster is, in fact, suing the organization. As of now, though, there aren’t any legal documents or statements from Rogan confirming these rumors.

While this is all Joe Rogan had to say, the political commentator he was talking about – Tulsi Gabbard – came out in support of Rogan’s alleged decision to sue MSNBC.
Tulsi Gabbard demands an apology for Joe Rogan
Along with a video she posted on X, Gabbard explained her stance on the situation: “MSNBC is again EXPOSED as a propaganda machine for the Democrat Elite, and how they will brazenly try to deceive the American people.” She additionally pointed out that the news organization violated the FEC law by not reporting its propaganda as a contribution to Kamala Harris’ electoral campaigns.

The American politician stood tall in her stance and claimed that the UFC color commentator deserved an apology, even though MSNBC had already taken down the original controversial post. She simply wasn’t appreciative of the news organization spreading things that were too far away from the truth.
