Former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos is looking to end his beef with Conor McGregor once and for all. This rivalry started when Rafael was set to defend his title against ‘The Notorious’ in the main event of UFC 196 back in 2016. Unfortunately, this fight didn’t happen as ‘RDA’ broke his foot.
More recently, they came face-to-face at one of the UFC 264 pre-PPV events. There, they had an altercation and the world saw that the bad blood between the duo still exists.
When asked about McGregor’s injuries, losses, and potential to get back on track, Dos Anjos replied, “If he gets his mind in place, he can get back to the top. I believe…he’s Conor McGregor. The line for him is way shorter than for other fighters”

As of now, RDA has sealed no future fights. However, he has hinted at a potential matchup with McGregor for their comeback to the cage in 2022.

Rafael dos Anjos vs Conor McGregor: Who Wins?
Rafael dos Anjos lost his lightweight belt to Eddie Alvarez back in 2016 at the UFC Fight Night 90. Since then he has fought the biggest names in the game. The list includes fighters like Kamaru Usman, Colby Covington, and Tony Ferguson. Currently, he is ranked #6th in the lightweight division after his recent victory over Paul Felder.
RDA’s grappling techniques are a force to be reckoned with. His striking power is also deadly. If Conor underestimates Dos Anjos, he will surely find himself in a tough spot.

On the contrary, Conor McGregor’s southpaw stance, if not countered, can become a serious threat. McGregor also has a slight reach advantage over RDA (4 inches). Given their stats and fight styles, these top-level fighters have whatever it takes to trouble the other. Hence, if they do fight, both men to be in their best form as either can exploit the slightest of mistakes.
