Dos Anjos, who is currently ranked number 6 in the division, hasn’t fought since UFC Fight Night 182. He returned to the lightweight division, took on Paul Felder in the main event, and won via split decision.

Rafael Fiziev, on the other hand, has become one of UFC’s brightest up-and-coming stars. He made his debut in the promotion in 2019. After losing in that fight, he has not looked back and is currently on a five-fight win streak. ‘Ataman’ (11-1) is coming off an impressive spinning wheel kick knockout win over Brad Riddell in his last outing in December 2021.

Rafael Fiziev vs. Rafael dos Anjos will have huge implications

Despite being out of action for more than a year, dos Anjos is still one of the top dogs in the UFC’s lightweight division. After his fight with Islam Makhachev at UFC 267 fell off, the #6 ranked contender would be hoping to put on an impressive performance against Rafael Fiziev and get back in the title picture.

As far as Fiziev is concerned, he has everything to gain from a win against a former champion. If ‘Ataman’ is able to pull off a win, he will break into the top 10 and displace the Brazilian.
