Over the years, fans of White and the UFC have come to know the troublesome relationship between the UFC president and his parents. Recently, in an interview with Piers Morgan, White almost casually told the world that he had “almost no feelings” about their passing.

In 2011, White’s mother, June, published a book. In it, she revealed many unflattering details about her son, accusing him, among other things, of narcissism. Now, with the Piers Morgan interview doing rounds on the internet, both sides of the story are seemingly becoming clearer.

White’s past has been tumultuous, to say the least. Even with a net worth of $500 million, the Octagon tycoon has never had stable personal relationships. Earlier this year, White was captured getting into a physical scuffle with his wife. In a disturbing video, the couple was seen hitting each other outside a club in Cabo. Piers Morgan asked him about how his life has been after the personal difficulties to which Dana White revealed:

“I don’t think I’ve ever talked about this, but my parents both died recently.”

The reveal was brought to light by a preview of the interview. In the uncensored interview, White went into greater detail about his life with his parents and what happened after they passed. Morgan posed several questions to get to know White’s emotional state better, but for White, there was nothing but numbness.

“I didn’t wish any ill will on either one of my parents, but no, I didn’t [feel sad], when they passed away. I had almost no feelings about it, to be honest with you,” he told Morgan. The UFC frontman also opened up about how he took care of his father’s passing but not his mother’s.

“Listen, I took care of my father and moved him up to Maine and put him to rest with his family up there. And then my mother,” he expressed. ” I had nothing to do with any of hers, her family handled her when she passed away.”

White’s relationship with his parents was never great

The statement is a surprise to some but to those who have followed the UFC Boss’ life from the start, it’s just a troubled wave finding its way back home. June White’s book detailed how she found her son “self-centered, arrogant, and cruel.” And so it’s no surprise that there were wounds open wide in their relationship.

“Dana went from being a true friend, a good son, and a truly nice person to being a vindictive tyrant who lacks any feelings for how he treats others,” wrote his mother.

Nothing good happened between them as he was growing up. White has three children of his own today. He mentioned how he learned from his upbringing and inculcated the exact opposite of it as a parent.

“My parents taught me a lot about what I didn’t want to be as a parent,” he said on one occasion. “I focus a lot on my kids and my relationship with them, and I sort of put my relationship with my parents behind me.”

With the UFC merging with the WWE, new avenues are unfolding in White’s professional life. However, in the interview, he laid bare his soul to talk about family. Some wonder if the fights he works around are taking a toll on his personal life. Should the king of the UFC give his job a break? Maybe he should try to close some wounds and take it one step at a time. What do you think about Dana White? Let us know in your comments below.
