Making his comeback after a layoff of 3 years, Jon Jones realized his destiny and fulfilled his decade-long promise as he claimed the vacant heavyweight title at UFC 285. Not only did he silence his doubters, but also brushed aside the opponent, Ciryl Gane, with ease. The doubts of ring rust and a steep challenge at 265 lb also didn’t deter ‘Bones’. While he now comfortably sits at the top of the division, he has his work cut out for one of the greatest heavyweights, Stipe Miocic. However, the UFC 285 results also made some landslide changes in the pound-for-pound rankings. With the win over ‘Bon Gamin’, the Rochester native also made a major leap and dislodged Alexander Volkanovski as the P4P king.

The Albuquerque resident made an improvement of 9 places as he previously occupied the 10th spot in the rankings. The upsurge, as a result, pushed the top 9 a spot downward.
