There are two things Belal Muhammad does well, perhaps the best in the welterweight division. One is taking guys down and mauling them there with his relentless grappling and the other is being an absolutely hilarious troll. The 170lbs kingpin, for instance, was relentlessly making fun of Leon Edwards online, while the hapless Englishman was being dominated by Sean Brady at UFC London two weeks ago. But in actuality, the best example of ‘Bully B’ trolling someone to the point of anger was a podcast episode that no one has ever seen.

Former champions Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman, of course, host their ultra-popular ‘Pound 4 Pound’ podcast every week. But apparently, Usman and Muhammad got into a heated argument when the welterweight champ went on their podcast last year. This is what ‘Bully B’ had claimed on September 20 on Remember the Show. “The podcast [Pound 4 Pound] kind of sucks. But they do have some good guests on there… We made an appearance on there, it was fun. … I’m hoping they bring out the episode. I’ll say this: they’re not very good at talking, so I think I verbally broke down Usman. I think he got emotionally broken so he tried to get physical.”

But how physical? Well, Usman’s co-host, Cejudo told Mike Bohn in a recent interview on the latter’s YouTube channel. “Can I tell you something, Mike, it was, I almost got kicked bro [during the infamous Belal Muhammad episode]. Like there’s punches were thrown, dude. And I had a messed up ankle at that time. So Kamaru Usman….Belal was kicking me in my head, dude. Luckily I did a little slip, but yeah, it was definitely rated R,” ‘Triple C’ said on the ‘Bohnfire’ podcast with a cheeky smile.

Of course, Cejudo is seemingly joking here. While it does seem like things got physical based upon what Muhammad has said, it was clearly with Usman and not the Olympic gold medalist. But what really happened will remain a mystery until Cejudo and Usman release the episode. However, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has set a few conditions for doing so.

Kamaru Usman revealed what it would take to release the Belal Muhammad episode

“In typical Belal fashion, of course, Belal did Belal. So the interview didn’t go as planned. It wasn’t that great of an interview anyway, it wasn’t even that long… But if he’s able to get through Shavkat Rakhmonov, and we run super, super low on content, why not?” Usman promised in October last year.

At the time Usman made these comments, Muhammad was scheduled to face undefeated boogeyman, Shavkat Rakhmonov, as his first title defense at UFC 310 in December. However, the champ had to pull out due to a bad bone infection. So the fight didn’t happen, and the former champ never released the episode.

Is the Belal Muhammad podcast episode the biggest mystery in MMA right now?

Have an interesting take?

Their podcast has been getting some pretty great guests since ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ made these comments, too, which means neither of the two conditions Usman had set for releasing the Muhammad episode were met. But that hasn’t stopped fans from demanding that Cejudo and Usman finally make it public.

On every ‘Pound 4 Pound’ podcast episode since the Muhammad one, you can find at least one fan railing on them to “release the Belal episode”. But will they? Or do Usman and Cejudo not ever plan on releasing the episode and are leading fans on? Well, that remains one of life’s great mysteries at the moment. What do you think about Henry Cejudo’s ‘revelations’ about what happened on the Belal Muhammad episode?
