Last night at the Accor Arena in Paris, UFC lightweight contender Renato Moicano set an example for other MMA fighters on how to deliver the purest form of MMA to its fans. He showcased this against local hero Benoit Saint-Denis, that too in his hometown, where he not only knocked out Saint-Denis but did so in a brutal manner that could overshadow Max Holloway’s knockout of Justin Gaethje at the historic UFC 300.
However, like every achievement, this victory came at a cost. Renato Moicano suffered a gruesome shoulder injury in the first round, but even amidst the injury, he did not let it stop him from finishing Saint-Denis in the second round. His performance has even drawn admiration from UFC head honcho Dana White on social media recently.

Renato ‘Money’ Moicano is no stranger to slow starts, but last night was anything but typical. From the opening bell, Moicano came out swinging, immediately overpowering Benoit Saint-Denis and busting his face open with a barrage of powerful punches. Despite the injury, Moicano’s performance made it look like everything was under control—but appearances can be deceiving. After the fight, veteran reporter Kevin Iole dropped a bombshell on Instagram: an X-ray showing Moicano fought the second round with a completely dislocated shoulder. “Incredible Renato Moicano fought the second round today with this shoulder injury,” read the caption.

The X-ray showed one of his shoulder bones entirely detached, a sight that caught everyone’s attention, including UFC president Dana White. White chimed in on Iole’s post with high praise, “Kid’s a beast.” And after that gutsy performance, Moicano—now 35 years old—has not only earned White’s admiration but might have just put himself on the fast track for a title shot. Especially after the post-fight interview where ‘Money’ made it clear what he wants next: “I am 35 years old; I don’t have much time. I want to beat Dan Hooker or Paddy Pimblett or someone else and fight for the title.”

But Moicano wasn’t just targeting fighters. Riding the adrenaline high after dismantling Saint-Denis, he didn’t hold back on the mic, aiming for the French government with a fierce rant. It was a night where Moicano showed that not only can he dominate inside the octagon, but he also knows how to make waves outside of it. After all, with the clock ticking on his career, ‘Money’ is playing no games—he’s out for blood, titles, and his place at the top.

Even some fans claimed that Renato Moicano dismantled Benoit Saint-Denis like “he owed him money,” suggesting there might be a personal rivalry between them. However, they were mistaken; right after their fight concluded, ‘Money’ did not hesitate to appreciate his opponent’s performance.

But before that, he lashed out at the French government for its poorly formulated policies that were affecting the people in France. Moicano directed his comments to French President Emmanuel Macron, stating, “People from France don’t suck, but the government in France is f–king horrendous. F— Macron. F— all globalists, these motherf***ing globalists. They try to push a political and corrupt agenda. And I hope that you understand that democracy is a fallacy. Democracy is not the real government. So please read Hans-Hermann Hoppe and understand why the world is going crazy today.”
