The majority of the American population has been waiting for Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony on the 20th of January 2025. Needless to say, a boatload of celebrities landed to make sure they got to witness Trump claiming the American President’s throne for a second time. Even the former UFC double champion, Conor McGregor landed to support Trump on his big day. After all, Trump and McGregor were of a similar mind when it came to TikTok, even though some aspects of their thoughts never matched.

Taking to X, ‘Mystic Mac’ shared a picture of himself seated in a black SUV, right beside his private jet. In the caption, ‘The Notorious’ branded the President-elect as the double champion. He wrote, “Just landed in Washington DC to witness @realDonaldTrump become Double Champ! #Exceptional #ChampChamp.”

Well, McGregor’s support for the former POTUS has seemingly increased after Trump announced that he was planning to ban the social media platform, TikTok in the US. The Irish mixed martial artist shared the news on his Instagram handle and captioned it, “Triller, is where it’s at.” And now, with him present in Washington DC to cheer Trump, the relationship between McGregor and Trump is destined to get stronger.

These comments are in sharp contrast to what hesaid about Trump a few months ago. “Campaign ending decision. A smelly fat mountain monkey from the inb–d mountains of Dagestan is your favorite UFC (AMERICAN COMPANY) fighter? Wow. Abysmal,” McGregor wrote after Trump declared Khabib Nurmagomedov his favorite fighter. It did not end there.

‘The Notorious’ continued, “I was actually wrong. Couple hundred million he is worth. Not multi B. I would have thought USA ONLY would be the mentality here and what I would want to see out of my president, personally. To pick a retired inb–d fighter from Dagestan Russia who has 3 main events only to his name is astounding. Over all the American fighters that have backed him. It’s a shocking decision. He was caught on the spot. That won’t go unnoticed on the roster. This presidential race is very tight right now. More so now.”

Guess McGregor’s moved on from the spat. But what’s with the Triller bit? We’ll explain. Back in 2022, Triller acquired the majority interest in Bare Knuckle Fighting. So Triller is now the owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship of which McGregor is a part owner. So, the businessman in McGregor just had to use the opportunity to promote his brand.
