Cris Cyborg stands tall with 27 wins in her professional MMA record, and just 2 defeats. At the age of 39, it’s indeed a feat that not many can achieve. About 78%n of her wins came via KOs. On top of that, she’s the only fighter to have won championship belts in 4 different MMA promotions, viz. UFC, Bellator FC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce. And now, she’s all set to fight for the PFL featherweight championship title. No wonder her opponents are wary of the power that the Brazilian fighter’s punches carry.

The last time Cris Cyborg faced a defeat was when she fought Amanda Nunes at UFC 232, back in 2019. She won against Felicia Spencer at UFC 240 before diving into Bellator FC and going on an 11-fight winning spree. Although she has yet to vacate the Bellator FC featherweight belt, she simply can’t steer away from a chance to fight Larissa Pacheco for the PFL belt.

Pacheco, on the other hand, has amassed 23 victories with 4 losses in her professional MMA career. Just like her opponent, Pacheco had tried her luck in the UFC, as well. However, things didn’t turn out well for the 30-year-old, and she was forced to move under the banner of PFL following 2 defeats in the Octagon. That was indeed the best decision that Pacheco made, as she went on to win 48% of her fights via KOs and another 35% via submissions.

Pacheco won the PFL lightweight belt back at PFL 10, 2022, when she defeated Kayla Harrison via a unanimous decision. Right after becoming the lightweight champion, Pacheco jumped to the featherweight division and won against Julia Budd, Amber Leibrock, Olena Kolesnyk, and Marina Mokhnatkina. In her last fight against Mokhnatkina, she became the PFL featherweight champion and won the tournament finals. Currently, on a 10-fight winning streak, the PFL featherweight champ will defend her belt for the first time against Cyborg.

Cyborg vs. Pacheco breakdown and prediction

Needless to say, Cyborg is one of the most successful fighters in the world of mixed martial arts. With about 11 successful title defenses, Cyborg has amassed a lot more experience than Pacheco. Being the phenomenal striker that she is, Cyborg tends to dominate the MMA cage with her power and aggressive fighting style. Despite her age, her fight IQ is what Pacheco needs to be wary of in the upcoming bout.

About 9 years younger than Cyborg, Pacheco has a gas tank that might take her beyond limits, as compared to her opponent. But that doesn’t mean she can underestimate the Bellator champion’s history of finishing her opponents. Unlike Cyborg, Pacheco is a more well-rounded fighter. While Cyborg focuses more on striking, Pacheco can dictate the fight on the ground, even though she’s not an aggressive grappler. But it’s the gas tank that has the fighting community pick Pacheco as the winner via decision.

The event will also feature Francis Ngannou fighting against Renan Ferreira in the headliner fight. No doubt, the event will be one that the fighting community will remember for ages to come. After all, this will be the first time the fight fans will witness the former UFC heavyweight champion entering an MMA cage after he retires from UFC.
