Mark Zuckerberg is friends with Jon Jones. You probably knew that already. But did you know that the chairman and CEO of Meta just sent a couple of really impressive gifts for the UFC heavyweight champion? You heard it right! Jones recently shared visuals of the gifts he received from his friend-cum-student, Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg and his company recently launched an upgrade to Meta Quest 2, a virtual reality headset that has been garnering quite the hype. But being a personal friend to Jones, Zuckerberg extended a generous hand towards him and let him have the Meta Quest 3. But that’s not all! There was another smart gift with the VR headset.

‘Bones’ recently took to IG Stories and uploaded a video showing his new Rayban Meta sunglasses and the Meta Quest 3 virtual reality headset. Without a doubt, the mixed martial artist could not hide his excitement. He voiced, “Ha ha ha! Yeah! Finally, I got my hands on the Meta Quest 3 and the Rayban Meta sunglasses that are so much more than sunglasses. Mark Zuckerberg, you are the man. Absolute genius! I’m grateful to call you a personal friend. Thank you for the gift. Can’t wait for these bad boys to get unboxed.“

With high quality 4K display, the Meta Quest 3 is sure to provide a great experience to the UFC champion. And the sunglasses? The smart glasses would just add to the fighter’s style. 

The Meta CEO got acquainted with Jones as he began training for the fight against Elon Musk, which never materialized. After calling off the fight, the relationship between the two only strengthened. In an Instagram post shared by Jones, the two can be seen having the time of their life with the VR headsets.

About a year ago, Jones offered to train the tech billionaire for his speculated fight with Musk. Although Zuckerberg called off the fight, he found a friend in Jones. Their friendship sent sparks in the fighting community after the former light heavyweight champ shared a few pictures of him and Zuckerberg playing games on the Meta Quest headset. It did seem like the boys were having fun. 

But things didn’t end there! Zuckerberg was also seen fanboying as the news about Jones’ return to the Octagon spread like wildfire, the previous year. As the billionaire shared a clip where he was sparring with Alexander Volkanovski, Jones commented that it looked fun. But Zuckerberg replied, “Excited for your return” showing his support for the fighter.
