The dust of UFC 287 has yet to settle. UFC 287 fight night was indeed a visual treat for any UFC fan. The battle between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira took the fans to the edge of their seats. It was Adesanya who won the bout in the second round by a jaw-dropping knockout. The fans on the internet were quick to praise Adesanya for finally beating his longtime rival. The bout at UFC 287 was their fourth, two of them in kickboxing. In all the previous three bouts, it was Pereira who won. However, their fourth bout was a total game-changer. Pereira’s loss has indeed caused a lot of grief for his family.

Among the audience, his 12-year-old son was crying. However, while Adesanya was having his on-stage celebrations, he didn’t spare “Poatan’s” son. The Last Stylebender searched for Pereia’s son from the audience. When he finally spotted him, crying after seeing his father brutally knocked out, Adesanya theatrically dropped to the floor and acted dead. This was exactly what Pereira’s son did when his father won against Adesanya at Glory of Heroes 7. At the moment, the video of Pereira consoling his family coming out of the octagon after the loss went viral, and fans are reacting to the same.

After watching the video of ‘Poatan’ consoling his kids by giving them hugs outside the octagon after the UFC 287 loss, fans are having mixed reactions to it.

 One of the fans was happy to see “Poatan’s” kids cry.

 His son ain’t laughing now but i AM HAHAHAHA

 One of the Instagram users called Izzy’s fans the “worst in MMA.”

 “Izzy fans are some of the worst in mma”

 Another fan commented,

 “I hope they run it right back. So many trilogy fights in the ufc never happen”

 One fan also felt happy seeing Pereira console his kids.

 “Now this does put a smile on my face. 3-1 2X MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION”

 Another fan appreciated Pereira for all that he did for the middleweight division.

 “Alex made this division a lot more interesting and brought about one of the better storylines in recent UFC memory..hope he recovers and maybe moves up to 205.”

 Another fan reminded the rest that Adesanya did indeed always have the upper hand.

 One of Izzy’s fans was developing respect for Pereira.

“I’m a huge Izzy fan but ngl, pereira growing on me”

No chance for a trilogy in MMA?

After the bout, Adesanya made it clear that he did not want a trilogy bout between the two. Adesanya declared that he had gotten his revenge and was very satisfied with it. Moreover, the UFC president, Dana White, hinted in the post-fight press conference that “Poatan” might move up to the light heavyweight division. Thus, at the moment, there seems no chance for a trilogy match between the two fighters. At the moment, the fans need to wait to find out what the future holds for the two fighters.
